I came across this article. While not yowie related it shows possiblitlies. As it is saying the Aboriginal people carry DNA from an unknown hominid. Raises more questions than it answers. Like who is this unknown hominid? Is it related to the big guy?

Good share, Anna! Saw an article on this just the other day and wondered the same... which makes getting a DNA sample even more important, if one of the hairy folk are an ancestor of some kind.
