UFO Swoops Police Car
Does anyone remember this national news headline from the late 70's or ealry 80's .
UFO Swoops Police Car , a channel nine national news headline . They were using graphics showing a ufo a swooping the police car .
There was a ufo flap in Victoria at the time , the sightings went on for four or five days but I can't find anything about it anywhere . I emailed Bill Chalker twice but got no response .
My father and I had an early morning sighting at the same time and my school friend who lived in the vicinity , his dogs freaked and crawled up under the house and they couldnt figure out why .

Rusty… I do have some vague recollections of that encounter. I was a VUFORS member at the time and I still have a pile of their newsletter reports in booklet form. I’ll check when I get some time!
Welly, you would have been in NZ at the time of the famous 1978 Kaikoura orbs sighting. The mysterious lights were filmed by a NZ cameraman with a name you just can’t forget… Davey Crockett! I have spoken about this case with the journalist Quentin Fogarty who was there on the aircraft when the filming took place and also the Channel 0 News Editor who sent him there. The News Editor is a close friend and I have discussed this sighting at length with him.

Thanks for the feedback wellymon !
Thanks Searcher , it was on the news for 3 or 4 days but there was that one headline that I'll never forget .
I remember watching the footage from that plane and one of the images taken off the film showing an infinity type sprial loop which is obviously impossible from any conventional aircraft .

You have an excellent memory, Rusty! I was fortunate enough to have access to that footage and I recall projecting, freezing and studying the frame showing the spiral loop. That single frame represents just 1/25th of a second on the 16mm film. Camera speed was at 25 frames per second. IMHO and also the TV Station's Chief Cameraman, the strange frame was the simple result of an extremely small but sudden camera movement while focused on the fixed object. Just my two bobs worth...I remember watching the footage from that plane and one of the images taken off the film showing an infinity type spiral loop which is obviously impossible from any conventional aircraft .

I put my ufo lightning photo in the local paper and never ever once mentioned the word alien but the reporter said suggested I thought it was an alien spacecraft lol .
