G'day Rastus,
Thank you. I must get one but first, I need to buy an iPhone 5s.
This might change things a bit, particularly in the US. A few years ago we often joked about Apple releasing the iPhone 9y, "the yowie hunter" with inbuilt FLIR. It's here!

Looks like a great little device,
I also remember the talk about FLIR being inbuilt into phones for the future, I am a little surprised that its happened so fast, or should I be?
A little more info below.

looks like it could open up new possibilities to most peoples research and its pretty cheap to boot! Android version is apparently being worked on at the moment which is good news for us non Apple users. Modern technology is marvellous ( even though I'm a pretty basic sort of fella

), could possibly even live stream this with a fast enough connection on your device. And if you could mount to a tablet even more awesome ! Lol probably getting ahead of myself but it is certainly an exciting product for researchers, especially when yowies are apparently more active at night.
I just hope my wife understands...

Hi All,
We have been researching Flirs etc, and the iPhone attachment was one of the things that we looked at. Be mindful that once you acquire one, it is unlikely that it can be used on any phone upgrade. It seems that some also are made specially for Android phones.
The best one that we have seen (if you can afford it) is the FLIR PS32 Scout.
Be safe always
