Hi creeper, was the roar coming from whatever was following you through the bush as you said it reverberated through your chest or was it a far off roar?

I've been following this post.
I'm amazed that a blurry photo of something (who knows what?) can be interpreted as anything let alone a dog man?
It's easy to believe and interpret photos or so called evidence that falls into one's own beliefs.
Please don't fall into the trap of praticing conformation bias!
Keep an open mind, until creeper gets back to the location and rules out any pre existing features it's all speculation.
Senses you have presented many valid points but you are very quick to jump on board with anything that supports your views. I'm over your s#@t, your very quick to remind us to post in the controversial section of the site.
To claim a blurry photo is a dog man is stretching the truth a bit to far.
People who check out this website on the main page are going think we are all full of s#@t.

creeper, sounds spooky. Let's just assume that there's no black there
(I can see between the three picks that it has moved, and you said when you came back you couldn't see any black, which is what caught your eye)

It's pretty hard to understand what it might be. You can see ears, even ear folds (maybe) in the second pic. I don't know that the thing above its head is anything, but looks like you can see a distorted face, ears, shoulder and lower down, some stomach or something.

Eastern Grey is a possibility, but looks too dark, was following you and walking on two legs. They can be assertive and stand their ground, but they're not black and they won't follow you at pace with a kayak.

I know zero about Dogman - being perfectly honest, I can come to grips with a Yowie, being close to human, but struggle with a dog/ape hybrid. But, it looks pretty doggy and pretty manny...

Cheers for mate

To be fair iv never bought into the whole dogman idea
Iv had alot of c**p happen to me and family over the years and its always pointed to yowie
I did a podcast last week with brent from paranormal portal about some of it

Iv worked with race horses for over 10 years and weight is a major factor
I can sit there watch and listen to my fav little horse run around a paddock and pick his weight to within 10-15kgs
I no what a 500+kg animal sounds like running around a paddock, on a track, on sand and threw the bush
Taking a flighty horse bush a few times can actually calm them down so i no what it sounds like

So when u can hear something that easily sounds 500+kg following u or stalking u threw thick bush on 2 feet u can rule out any native Australian animal
Instantly i thought yowie but then u get a few pics of where u hear it stop and u see a face of what i think looks like a big black dog standing at atleast 7ft i have no clue

The thing that charged threw the bush at me like a bull and roared at me a couple of days befor in the same area had to be huge you could feel it in your chest and the breath in befor each roar was just as loud as the roar
The recording doesnt really sound like it did in person

Theres been i think 5 sightings on the interactive map since the 70s of yowies in that area so everything still points to yowie but still that face looks dog like

To be honest having 2 kids im shitting it about going back by myself and the fact when it was roaring something told me to leave or im dead makes u think the worst about going back by yourself

Since that pic iv been back to the area fishing but not gone that far and iv recorded something running in thr bush next to be while i was fishing so i dont even wanna go back there
This spot is within 500m of heavily populated area and that scares the s#@t out of me im 100% sure if no one has gone missing over the years its only a matter of time till it happens

Calm down creeper.
I not taking a swipe at you!
Until you go back to the place you took the photo and rule out it wasn't natural (trees stumps, shadows, ect, ect.) it isn't anything, just a photo.
Senses jumping on board your post and in his opinion it's a "dogman" is exactly that, his opinion!
Whatever that's worth.

Bluedog these are some of the clearest pics I have seen enhance the third pic from Thecreepers first post and have a good look at it again and preferably with your glasses on. Unless this is pareidolia ie dead tree stump then to me it looks the real deal.

And I couldn't give a flying fig whether you're over my s#@t or not and by the way this may be on the Main Yowie Forum but to me it says paranormal.
Have you not looked at Scott Carpenter's (a very respected field researcher's) Dogman enhancement video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EboONc-8-wo very similar to Thecreepers but creepers are clearer. I don't post these videos for the fun of it there posted so people like you can get a better insight into the subject matter but if you are a denier then nothing is going to convince you.

You no doubt would exclude a Dogman if it came up and bit you on the a#@e. By the way, people who check out this website do so for interesting stories like this, not the negative prattle you espouse to. Don't be like some others who would come on post a comment without any theory of their own just to be antagonistic those types have fallen by the roadside long ago don't you be the next.

Well u come in to have a swipe at senses atleast senses had a opinion and was productive in the post
iv posted this asking for peoples opinions and yer obviously iv gotta go back and take more pics but people can still have a opinion
not just its a blurry pic dont bother posting if u cant even look at the title and be productive

he has a opinion and thats what he believes
while u, me and everyone else in the world cant prove what is out there and wat it is 100% maybe dont go out of your way to have a go because at the end of the day what if senses opinion and beliefs end up being the answer to all things cryptids

I agree we do not need to jump to any conclusions.

Until creeper can re-visit the site and check the same area, we still cannot be sure re the image in the photo, or not (hence my earlier post). We have seen images before that showed a facial image that turned out to be a burnt tree stump or the like.

The photo is similar to a previous image on this site, you can see what looks like a dog's head (previously yowie image), but is it. Interestingly, I showed my wife (who is a none believer) the photo of an image that was thought to be a hairy person (you could see a head/face image). It looked real. However, she immediately saw a tree stump. What's interesting, those of us who are looking sometimes we see things, or hope/believe we see things, that aren't real.

Creeper, I thank you for providing the images on this post (it is interesting and has created some good debate, which has been lacking lately). If you go back and it turns out to be a tree stump, etc, don't worry still take a few photos. This would be extremely valuable to show people the value of returning to the scene and check (the image in the pic definitely looks real) - it in itself is answering a valuable research question (including reliability and validity of research). If there is nothing there - well then congratulations.

The hype re the pic is accentuated by the sound of something walking in the bush, plus the roar you heard previously in the area. Not saying something was not in the bush following you, but at least we can test/assess re the image.

Hi, rowbe there has been a lack of debate period. There are 2,965 members on this site and yet probably no fewer than a dozen comment.
The general public will soon become disinterested if there is nothing interesting to read.

The Main Yowie Forum is difficult what are people going to post? unless it's an out in the field experience when we do have a researcher such as Themanfromglad he receives unnecessary criticism bordering on ridicule from the run of the mill naysayers. The Main Yowie Forum is limited no stories to present with a scientific nature because there is none. So out come the rehashed videos about whether or not they exist, footprints et al at the same time never offering an explanation as to why many of prints just vanish into thin air. Even when a story is presented on the Main Yowie Forum such as believepodcast's There are yowies on my farm! nothing of a scientific nature is evident all of the reports are of a supernatural nature.

The AYR - Yowie Controversial, Conjecture and Fringe Subject Matter Discussion gives us a much wider discussion base with a diverse range of information many people relating an experience with a paranormal theme. This frustrates the non-paranormal believers desperately trying to vindicate their agenda and with no information forthcoming from academia, the general public is now turning to the alternative view. You only have to read the comments on YouTube to verify this.

Thank goodness for people like Thecreeper not only is he out in the field (bushman) but is able to present to us what he has filmed. Interpretation of the evidence is up to the viewer and the only conclusion non-paranormal devotees can hold out for is pareidolia i.e. black stump and if it isn't their stumped pun intended.

I believe people who visit this site and indeed those that regularly post are passionate people who believe, whether flesh and blood or paranormal.

Fortunately or unfortunately, I am a fence sitter. Truly, I still have no firm beliefs one way or the other. However, I do believe people should have more respect for other's beliefs - they all have their own reasons. For the last few years I have regularly visited this site and not posted much, but I have the utmost respect for others views. It has been a great learning time for me - however I am still not swayed in one direction or the other. Just when I start to think in favour of one direction, something will change my mind and I'm back on the fence. The issue is, as with all social media sites, discerning the truth for embellishment. Also, what one person sees is potentially viewed differently by others, etc.

I can think of one example, someone seeing a hairy that looks like they're gliding across a path in front - is this paranormal or flesh and blood. Could it just be a form of stealth fine tuned over many generations (quieter than stepping/walking) or a paranormal apparition.

People, like Creeper, who are out in the field should be encouraged not discouraged. Assisting them should also be encouraged (especially from the more experienced persons, of which I have noticed a lot have not returned to this site for what seems like ages) - it will make (him/her) better researchers. Eliminating other possibilities first and providing methodology for proving/disproving something can only assist this area. Helping rather than just bagging something outright.

I guess, for me, until I actually see something verified I will be on the fence. I have not seen a hairy, etc (or something more sinister) but I have seen things, heard things and felt things. For example, when I get that chance to go in the field and indeed from previous years when I practically lived in the bush that there is something out there.

I can think of a lot more than one example. People reporting these creatures disappearing in front of their eyes when fired at from point-blank; absorbing the surrounding vegetation leaves etc; Disappearing then transfiguring into a deer or horse or some other animal; levitating; moving virtually at the speed of light; appearing in pixelated form like the Predator in the movie. To me, all of these abilities do not indicate flesh and blood.

Hey all

Thanks for the replies yer ill head out this weekend with my brother in law i was going last weekend but weather and family time got in the way

Yer iv had a few full on things happen over the years so its always freaky goong out by myself in the dark so iv been sticking to daylight hours but the roars and the pics have all been during the day haha

My opinion is if yowies are so closely related to us and people see ghost and spirits of people could it be that the paramornal acpect of yowies and dogman is the same thing ghost and spirits snd all that it would explain the floating across roads and stuff like that just disappearing
I beleive they have infrasound with some of the stuff iv had happen to me and there abilities in the bush would be so good if we spent our lives in the bush our skills and abilities would be unbelievable 2

Hi Creeper, happy to hear you are going back with someone and not alone.

Senses, yes I know there are many more examples. Without turning this into an issue re correct site for this discussion, I will say there is a lot we cannot explain, a lot. I have a number of theories, but that is just that theories. I still grapple with the seemingly primitive nature of the hairies. However, are their abilities years of evolution or paranormal - the examples you provided would lead in one direction but others have examples to the other.

One thing I do know from over 20 years experience as a researcher in University and Government settings (human behaviour) is if the problem is seemingly too large or unable to be explained by conventional methods or knowledge, is to chip away the edges, learn and move forward.

What does interest me about this site is observing the many views and theories of its contributors. I don't quite remember how I got here, I think I was looking into big cat sightings, etc. It jogged a memory from my childhood. During my childhood I have felt the presence of evil or evil thoughts - twice in the presence of paedophiles (no I wasn't a victim but could have been), one I witnessed an abduction (paedophile serial killer). I still remember vividly his stare at me - that was pure evil (pure_evil). The third, I believe was a hairy, although I do not think it was evil it was extremely angry re my presence. What first interested me re this site was reading about the signs of the hairies, broken tree limbs, tee-pees, dead quiet, two legged movement in the bush, rock throwing, stacked rocks on a path (different shapes every day) - but surprising no vocalisation or sighting. In those days I had no knowledge of yowies. In this instance, I believe he/she got used to me being in the area - I used to trek that area every day after school. Come to think about it, there have been a few occasions where I escaped potential harm (I was mostly by myself).

Although I dislike the negative banter at times, especially if it continues beyond simple banter, etc. This site I believe is valuable to this area of research. I also understand that probably quite a few other people have much more evidence than they would state on this site. Maybe one day!

You know only what you know. People like creeper should be encouraged and helped - I don't have the experience in this area but I don't hear too many others willing to provide meaningful advice or thoughts. Actually, when I first started visiting this site people were willing to provide assistance and encouragement but this has gone. (cries)

I would like to add, my comments are not a dig or criticism of anyone's beliefs. I value everyone's comments. After the few years being on the site I am no further advantaged. I guess, I'm still on the fence.
But I do know something is out there.

Yowie bait, your experience shows. Great pick up. While we were more focused on the pics, you have noted something simple and obvious. You are right, it definitely seems like it didn't like creeper taking the fish - probably it's territory and creeper was taking prey. Do you have any recommendations for creeper?
Should he leave a gift (of food maybe) when he revisits? Anyone?

I did notice the pick of the structure (if it is), the bank down to the water is well worn (could be anything, roos, etc). That's why I asked re fresh or salt water.

The roar was a couple of days earlier i was fishing the same river maybe 2-3 km from where i got the pics

I was fishing away in my kayak in a spot i dont think anyone would of been in years it was 2 hard to get to for someone to want to go all the time anyway i was about 1km down from where i put in and vi hooked a fish was bringing it in then all of a sudded something huge come smashing threw the bush at me and stopped maybe 50 to 100m up ahead of me just out of site and started roaring it was that loud it might of been closer but i couldnt see it but something told me to leave or u will die i dunno y but i turned around and paddled back

I got 50m away and it just stopped
Sounds like something doesn't like you taking the fish!

Yowie bait, your experience shows. Great pick up. While we were more focused on the pics, you have noted something simple and obvious. You are right, it definitely seems like it didn't like creeper taking the fish - probably it's territory and creeper was taking prey. Do you have any recommendations for creeper?

You could always throw it a fish but I dont know if that's the right thing to do. I would find a new spot or go during the day.

There was a post on here about a creek where if you went fishing you had to leave some of your catch or else be hassled by the Junjudee (small yowies) on your way out. Apparently it was a terrifying experience if you didn't leave any fish.

The Junjudee are said to be only 3 foot tall and can bash a full grown bloke if they get hold of you!
