Re: Ohio tooth
I hadn't seen that before. Nice find aaq.
I would be suprised if there didn't turn out to be more teeth or bones in that cave.
Good to see the DNA folk want to explore it more and didn't just dismiss it.

Re: Ohio tooth
Maybe a Bigfoot tooth but I wouldn't jump to any conclusions. People are overlooking the fact that Ohio was and still is a hotbed for Giant skeletal discoveries thousands of them in fact and many have been discovered in caves.
And I'm certain that any DNA results on a Giants's tooth would reveal some startling results.

Moe, senses,
It's so hard to know with this stuff.
What does a 97-99% human match mean - contamination, as alike to a pumpkin as a human, or something actually very close to human?
Tooth size is interesting. The Cascade Mountains bone pile study put mouth size at 2x human, from memory. That molar looks probably 4 x the size (length) so it's a valid question to ask if it's too big for sasquatch.
It does look fairly recent, but I'm curious about the condition of the pulp - I guess it could last months? Did the lab get the tooth and find material with DNA, or was the organic material swabbed off by the guy who found it?
