Symbols on vehicles

Unread post by JEN » Mon Aug 29, 2022 2:01 pm

Have there been any evidence of symbols being made on vehicles which have been left on the side of the road when you go into the bush for an overnight hike?

HI there Jen

There have been reports of people finding hand prints on dirty/dusty vehicles, but for symbols on vehicles I dont think so?

What sort of symbols do you mean exactly?

Hi Jen,
Interesting question.
As Dion said I've read of hand prints left on windows and metal surfaces but can't recall reading or hearing any accounts of symbols.
Have you encountered this?

Hi Dion,

We didn't notice this until we returned home and went to wash the car. It was only on the front passenger tyre (mags), which were closest to the bush. We did try to rub them off however it wouldn't come off so we used Mag car wash and a brush and even then it was still on. They are pretty much the exact same all the way around the mag and nowhere else. They are quite detailed and there were no other markings on the vehicle or other tyres.

It's just very strange as they are uniformed all the way around and would have taken a long time to do this. We did think of a stick perhaps, although this would have made other markings on the mag. See two attachments - one with the entire wheel and one close-up shot. I have other photos as we tried to clean it off.

Wow Jen, that's crazy!
It will be interesting to see what people on the sites make of this?
I have absolutely no idea.
Was your car parked in a car park or on the side of a bushrack?
Could it have been done anytime after the bush walk and washing the car?

Hi Bluedog,

Nothing seemed out of the ordinary when we arrived at the vehicle and it wasn't in a carpark. Not many people know of the backgate. There was a trye mark on the dirt road at the rear of the vehicle but I thought it could have been a local checking on the vehicle - there wouldn't have been any through traffic, only locals on that road. We did stop for coffee on the way home, however the vehicle was parked in a parking bay with other vehicles very close and not for longer than 30 mins. Looking at tyre it would have taken someone quite some time to do this unless they had a template. All very strange.

Yeah it's really strange. In the close up pic you can see that it's been scratched on, it's almost like a finger nail or stick has been scraped back and forth to make each mark/symbol.
It also make me wonder why a person(if it was a person)
would go to the trouble of doing it?
Because you've posted it on this site I'm guessing you don't believe a person done it?

Hi Bluedog,

Yes we agree. It would have taken someone quite some time to do this as it's uniformed all the way around the wheel. After close examination it looks like a nail or stick has been used which may have been dipped in sap or something. It couldn't be rubbed of with water and a brush.

Ive added in the series of photos we took after we discovered it wasn't as easy as we thought to rub it off. It did take some time.

To me, the uniformity of those markings suggest you’ve had a stick stuck somewhere in the wheel/calliper which has been hitting the spokes of the wheel. They just look so perfect. I don’t even think I could make those markings myself with such precision, using a finger or stick?

Yes Renee they are very precise and you are probably right, the markings could have been made by driving forwards and reversing with a stick stuck in the calliper.
This would explain how the scratching in overlaid and multi directional.
I initially was wondering if the wheel had been scraped against something while driving leaving the marks but there is nothing on the outer surface of the spokes. So I ruled that out.

Hi Renee, Yes we did consider this, and we did run over a stick however this was on the drivers side so we ruled this out. When considering it we noted there was no other markings on the outside of the wheel and we would would have had to have the wheel straight for a whole rotation for it to be that precise and we were on a winding dirt road with corrigations. But perhaps it is just that. Thanks

Hi Jen

They are interesting and I can see why you were curious enough to post them, but I think I like Renee's explanation here.

While its a nice thought that maybe a Yowie came to your car and started writing on your wheels while you were away from it, its best to look at the more obvious explanations first and I think Renee's is as good as any.

If you dont mind me asking however what part of the country were you doing the overnight camp in (general area is fine)? I only ask as I wondered if you may be in a known Yowie area while this happened, having said that Yowie activity can pop up in some unusual places.

Hi Jen,
I agree if a stick had been stuck in the callipers then it would have left scratches all around the mags but the spokes are unmarked. Whether a Yowie or a person would be involved is problematic. Although to me the markings on the mags are not unlike some of the symbolic signs left by Yowies they do have an inimitable style why would they bother? who knows. :?

Hi Dion, we were in the Mapleton Qld area. We do frequent this area and have never encountered anything. Happy to go with stick in the wheel. Thank you for everyone for their input - just thought it very strange.

my 2 cents, maybe you drove past some small shrubs and the resin from the broken foliage stuck to the rims uniformly?

Yes could have done although the bush / shrubs aren't really right on the edge of the road - this is a road well used by the locals that live there. However it is a valid point - thanks.

Hi Jen,
It looks like deliberate markings to me. They are too uniform to be random branch scratches. Even if a stick was caught in the wheel, there's no way it could have moved in and out of the fast-moving spokes without marking those as well.

The marks look like the creature was fascinated with the 'VW' symbol and was copying that onto all the spaces on the wheel.

(Looking back pre-covid, there were lots of references online and in media to the symbol 'XIX' or similar. I think it was a warning to those in the know about the year 2019, being the big year for the big reset as we now know. I also found a reference to the same symbol described in Catholic prophecies about the end time tribulations.)

Perhaps that symbol or date is a dominant one in the occult predictions of ancient Babylon, which is where I think the yowies originated - being chimeras of apes and exploring Phoenicians, so half-intelligent with that knowledge.

A really interesting post. Thanks.
