Hi All
I can imagine this may have been attempted but has there been any success in the broadcast of recorded vocalizations to attract Yowies?
I have seen Rustys Youtube sound recording and the audio time clock appears to disturb suspect Yowies in the vicinity.
Would be interested to hear of experiences in this manner.

This is definitely something I want to attempt...
I'm buying some audio recording gear in the next few days.

Re: Broadcast of Yowie Vocalizations
I've read a couple of the posts on here about children and Yowie/Bigfoot, if the video shared in the post "This is better than any fictional short film" by Thumper is authentic, and the gentlemen really did hear vocalization of what sounded like a child crying, then that could potentially be a great way of calling them in?
(Who knows what that gentlemen saw, to me it looked like a large head looking out behind that tree, it could of been with it's young at the time and that's what he heard).
I could be wrong, but I would say all parents would be attune to the call of a child in distress, and it stirs a deep feeling to help, and this feeling may be the same with yowie, for example the story of the yowie trying to sooth a crying baby by the bedrooms window in the Blue Mountains.
The little boy who was lost in winter in the US and a friendly bear looked after him through the night (note bears hibernate during winter), a gentlemen on here once posted that his kids saw a large monkey during a bush walk and it followed them.
So I was thinking for those who take expeditions into the wild trying to come across yowies, why not just take a recording of a child (don't take a child!) playing, screaming, crying etc and play that to see if you get one to come in and check you out.
If it works, great, but the only downside is if you attract a protective yowie who works out there is no child, or thinks your causing the child distress than things may not pan out in your favor.
Good luck.

Re: Broadcast of Yowie Vocalizations
I have broadcast a recording I got from the USA a few years ago in the blue mountains and I can say for certain the broadcast got quite a response. It got the dogs barking like you wouldn’t believe , but on top of that I got a reply from an animal that wasn’t any dog.
The vocalisation I broadcast was a roar that had a distinct quality to it, the reply I got back was very similar but sounded more aggressive , it continued returning the call long after I turned mine off.
I let everything settle down for a period and all went quiet no barking or return calls
I let the broadcast out again and as before got the same response from the animal as well as the dogs in the valley
I have been researching these animals for 30 years and have been within in 30metres of a Yowie and that didn’t faze me, but that return Callisto certainly had the hair standing up on the back of my neck
