Hi' Lilfoot,
Your right in what your saying about Xmas and everyone is busy.
I post on this forum as a researcher with quite a lot of evidence and yet no one appears to be interested in the facts and the truth of what is actually out there.
It would appear that anyone outside of AYR really doesn't have achance of proving the existance of these animals other than AYR researchers.
As I said I'll keep my evidence for another day

Grr, I just typed out this long post, and it got destroyed - got a 404 saying "The website is too busy to display your post". (kill)

Short version repeated here:

Yes I visit the forums twice a day, and it's quiet, just the time of year.

I agree with what you said about people outside AYR not being interested in Yowies. My partner mocks me every time I mention them. It really grinds my gears, as I wouldn't do that to him. I really would like to take him out bush, and have a Yowie scare the c**p out of him. Then I'd say "No such thing as Yowies, eh?"

I guess I'm not alone in that sentiment.

Sorry, the first post that got blown away was better, and probably funnier as well, but I'm not typing all that out again!

...lol lil foot... no offense taken my friend (rad) ... just like you ... I'M hoping to see postings other than mine too!!! (thumb up) (rad) ... I originally did it to prompt people to post... I'm sick and tired of seeing my name predominant across all categories!!! (eek) (eek) (eek) ... I agree with Yeti...

... around this time of year everyone is busy... but I don't think that it's because everyone is not interested in the facts and truth... (after all... that is what this website is all about )... it's because traditionally the posts go slightly dead around this time of year... (look at previous years posts)... not much happened then either (cries) ... but when everyone has finished partying (cheers) and have hangovers (cheers) (death) they return here to get their brains functioning again! (ninja) (detective) (kill) (no brains) ... and as you said Yeti... post another day... (although I am very interested in looking at the evidence now to be honest)!... cheers... Stickyfingers. You miss understood about what I had said, I was refering to people associated with AYR not listening to what I had to say.
I have been posting on here for a couple of weeks only on the chance of me stumbling across my eyeshine pictures in an Avatar. In the last few weeks I have been posting just a small portion of the evidence I have accumillated in the last few years and it would appear that there isn't much interest in the actual facts, I have more evidence than anyone researching these animals and yet now one listens thats a shame.

Sorry, Yeti, I did read that wrong, my apologies.

I hope you don't mind me asking, but why do you feel that nobody on AYR is interested in your posts? I read every post on the forums, yours included. Sometimes I just don't have anything to add, but I do find your posts to be quite interesting, and I've read you refer to your 'eyeshine' photo a couple of times on AYR, but I've not seen it. Would you mind posting it again?

From what you've written, I imagine you have done some pretty serious work with regard to getting out there, finding and documenting evidence (as you've posted pics here e.g. the tree break one), and I hope you haven't interpreted the lack of responses to those posts as us not being interested.... there were over 600 views of your scat photo thread, so I know people are reading stuff on AYR - the only difference is, not every reader wants to post (only 45 replies from all those views!) in response.

I for one look forward to every thread on AYR, as the Yowie hunter network is not a big one, and new evidence is always a thrill.

When you feel the forum is a bit more active, please do post more info.

Kind regards,
Shazz

Paul, if you have more evidence than anyone else please share, we all want to see what you have and you might have a better response with something else. Any footprints or recordings ?

As for your topics I am following them just I don't have much to add, this is a small board to start with and this time of year doesnt help.

yeah dido for me too yeti.
i would love to see what you have to offer, i found the scat thread awesome and am excited to hear of your dna results when they happen, i would have liked to have had a reply to your tree break thread but unfortunately i havent really seen any that i could attribute to a yowie yet.
as for replies, as shazzoir says alot of the members just surf this sight, i reckon a large percent have never written a reply or thread, maybe they are a bit shy or just curious, i know i was a bit hesitant at the start.
i have grown very passionate about the yowie research and being only a newby would love yo get as much information from you and any other seasoned researcher as possible, so please dont hold back.

Yeh, it is a bit quiet on here..I guess the Xmas thing might be a reason..

Someone on here said they got ignored when they posted their evidence, look I have to say it can get quite cliquey here..

When I posted the NBN report on the Singleton Yowie, it was pretty much dismissed because of the Rex connection..

I can accept there are 'ideological' differences between AYR and Rex, but a sighting is a sighting and therefore perhaps at least discussed..

I would like to see more discussion on these creatures from the Greater Blue Mountains (including Yengo NP) and Watagans area..I have made the point before that of course there's not going to be sightings everyday, but the Singleton Yowie is not on the NSW sightings link on the home page..The last sighting listed in NSW is the Megalong Valley Horse rider sighting..

There is very little up to date info on this subject on the 'Net and AYR is the page to come to for those interested in the Yowie and similar phenomena. Hoopefully in 2009 it picks up and we get closer to the truth...

...Yosemite... have you posted about your (taz) Singleton Yowie (taz) incident within these forums? (eek) ... if so... how long ago? (woot) ... if you have... I might go and hunt for it (detective) ... I'd like to read up on that my friend... and lil foot... you're dead right when you said this...
...as shazzoir says alot of the members just surf this sight, i reckon a large percent have never written a reply or thread, maybe they are a bit shy or just curious...

...Yeti... I would love to see the evidence posted that you have (detective) ... even if there are only two or three of us reading it and responding to it at the moment doesn't matter... as lil foot said... there are dozens just cruising through the threads at all times... and besides... when people DO come back on after Xmas... the thread will run like wildfire! (rad) ...

... so Yeti... go for it my friend!!!! (rad) (thumb up) (cool) ... cheers... Stickyfingers. (cool) (happy) (jest)

Paul,
So far you have posted very little "evidence" and therefore it is hard for people to be too excited by what you have to say. When pressed on any issues, you are defensive, ignorant or change the subject completely. I am sure everyone here here is more than willing to work with you but it works both ways.............

Yeti, some evidence you're a real person in the form of an avatar might be a good start. We're all wondering if you're secretly a celebrity, politician, FBI agent, or Rex Gilroy!! Hopefully your current avatar isn't a reflection on all your fantastic evidence we're all waiting for! (thumb)

You've gotta be gidding Yeti, there are multitudes of "us" out there that spend most spare time investigating the issues you are talking about, just because you weren't flooded with replies to your thread doesn't mean we are not listening or keenly interested, if i came up with any definitive evidence..i would post it OR send it to KEY members of the AYR, my searches take me all over the Northern Territory and there are some places up here with real potential for activity, but if i have learnt one thing from my own area of employment , that is be carefull what you put up as evidence in research as it will be scrutinised as i would expect it to be . So if you have interesting bits of potential evidence whack it on the site.

Cheers good hunting

Hi Yeti.

It's ironic that your "Signing Out" post has generated more responses than your others but I think it's a reflection of how much your posts are appreciated by the members of this board.

Please keep posting and hopefully it will encourage other active researchers to do the same.

Hey Yeti, good to see your new Avatar up there, nice one!

I hope you got the response you wanted, as you can see, we are always keen to learn more from others on the forum.

Kind regards,
Shazz

PS. Can you post your eyeshine pics please? I've not seen them

*cough, cough*

A few things that would make me hang on your every word include;
1. Close up photos of the several yowie scats that you have found, along with approximate measurements
2. More photos from the sequence showing the yowie in motion that you captured on the trail cam. The two pics are one second apart yet look exactly the same... If this is in fact a yowie "strolling" then i'm interested as to why it hasn't moved in the space of one second. I am sure the rest of the photos would shed some light on this (or is there just the 2 photos?) i touched on this in a previous thread but you must have overlooked my post...
3. How come it takes more than three years to conduct DNA testing... i have never come across this before... it should be EXTREMELY easy seeing as the scat was very fresh and then kept in a sealed bag in the refridgerator...
4. How the hell did you get a bag of (steamer) through customs (lol)

1.I have posted a closer scat picture in the tree break thread

2.The 2 pictures that are doing the rounds of the internet are different if you take a closer look. In one picture you can see the fingers, and the shoulders are different and its back is straighter in one than the other. I can't prove or disprove what this is in the picture it certainly isn't there now. I could post the other pictures in the sequence but they have done the rounds in the USA and are inconclusive. So I won't bother to put them here if you check the forums in the USA you'll see what I mean.

3. As for the scat, good question. When ever I email the guy who is Dr Craig Newton the guy that done the Skookum cast DNA. He replies and is all apologetic but is going to do the tests. To tell you the truth, I'm a bit pissed off

4.The sample I sent was only a small portion, I placed it in a couple of those small zip bags. At that stage I had dried the scat out and it was spread out flat in the envelope.

Yeti

if you still have adequate amounts of scat, i have access to all of the equiptment needed to analyse the scat, plus i work with / and have good relationship with Microbiologists and Zoologists. Point being if you have plenty of the scat sample send a small amount up to me and ill get it checked out, i use their equiptment to check out hair samples, ...just a suggestion, if your interested, PM me
