I live in Nth Sydney and have some time off until february.(broken ankle-but can drive and could get down most bush tracks) Anyway, I have thought of doing a few solo drives into the blue mountain at night and having a look around. I saw a 10 million candlepower spotlight at Repco and plan on buying it but I dont know where to start looking. I have read nearly every sighting on this sight from the Blue Mountains area but can't seem to get any exact roads or reference points to start from. I am a relative Newbie here but have been reading on the sight for a while and wonder whether I am missing some "YowieHunter etiquette" that doesnt disclose exact locations?
The first place I want to look is that street that is mentioned a lot in the blue mountains where it is said that over 50 of it's residents have seen a Yowie like creature.
There was also an expedition report I read that talked of 2 guys that would often drive up from Castle Hill to Blue Mountains during the weeknights and had had some good encounters there. Are these spots secret too?
Any help would be appreciated from advice to a map?

Re: Yowie Hotspots??
I'm not usually a skeptic on the Yowie, there are plenty of those visiting this site.
But this particular Yowie in that Blue Mountains street seems to be so omnipresent, it's a wonder it's not walking down the street in the morning whistling while fetching the morning paper...
If that Yowie exists, then it's all over red rover, just take a photo - it sounds like it will pose for you...
It's the one sighting area that I roll my eyes at....
As to your actual question, try Tablelands road.....

I will try to do the March trip but may have trouble getting the time off work at that time of the year. In the meantime I'm going to try the same location for just a night visit with no camping overnight..
