New Prints

Unread post by forestguy »

I was looking at Paul Clacher's big cat site recently and realised that I'd seen a print similar to his mystery print (http://uqconnect.net/~zzpclach/footprints.htm) at one of my research sites last year, which I sent him (a copy is below):
PGX Scuff 061108.jpg
Today I was finally moving some pics from a visit last month from my camera onto my computer and realised that some were similar again:
PGX Print 0809.JPG
PGX Print 2 0809.JPG
PGX Print 3 0809.JPG
PGX Print 4 0809.JPG
In this last one it looks like claws were used to try and stop sliding in mud.

My knife is about 9cm from brass end to brass end.

Any thoughts?

Few more pics from that day.

In several locations we found small sticks stuck into the path:

And found a couple of different scats - the one's I cut open seemed to be made up largely of hair:

Still no thoughts from anyone?

The top print looks like the "gloved hand" like yowie print that cropper and healy purchased off the darwin museum staff who cast it at the location of a yowie report.
The scat with the bone looks catttyy.

Thanks Mike - is that in their book? I don't remember it.

After looking at that and then the pic again, the dint halfway down on the right of the print in my pic jumps out at me more.
