A couple of weeks ago I heard a strange howl coming from the bush which we live near, I have posted this to a different website but they didnt really help anyway the call lasted about 15 to 20 seconds long, you could hear it echoe afterwards there are no known animals in this area that makes a noise like that. I have talked to a aboriginal before in the past and he said there are yowies around the shoalhaven area. I sometimes go bushwalking and have found prints before. there was one day I was with my cousin in the bush and he found a big steamer. we laughed about and left it there, I wish now I picked it up. I just wanted to know if there is a scientific explaination to this.
3) Were there any further prints accompanying the picture shown.
4) Can you describe the sound heard. What did it most resemble.
We all know the Shoalhaven area has had reports since settlement. The terrain and foliage resembles somewhere close to the beach (having said that, obviously Shoalhaven is), however if you can provide the location, it would be of interest.
Thank you for sharing.
