Ur right on the money their lil foot..!!
If they did a good showthey would get great rating..but they can also do a shite show...spend very little..and just do what they will do on Friday...and rate well anyway.
I have seen them knock back footage of bigcats because the cat was big and brown and looked like a puma..they only wanted something that looked like a "panther".
And...if anyone had anything..they didnt want to cough up$$$.
I have seen them also knock back extra footage..too go with footage they already bought....that shows a comparison of the big cat on a log..with a woman lying on the same log with the same zoom..to prove it was a big cat..
Not interested because the guy wanted money..
And..for some footage in central vic several years ago..they hired a surveyor to work out the size of the cat..but..they gave him one photo and told him he had to work off it.
And he did....
The problem was..they chose one frame where the animals legs were not visible..
And the surveyor ..did exactly what he was told.. the cat was not outsized he told them..
The proviso was..it was a legless cat..
Soooo...the networks are so uninterested in actually making the most out of a segment..because the shows are like machines that just punch out show after show..that they paradoxically..will/can butcher their own story..
