I HEARD IT ON DA RADIO

Today 16.02.10 on Fi Pooles ABC Mid North Coast morning radio programme they were discusssing the visit to Darkwood - west of Bellingen nsw , by the current Federal Minister for the environment ,,,,, Midnight Oil's Peter garrett .

He was there on a piece of land that the government has purchased to form a network of holdings for the purpose of maintaining Australias natural heritage , a grant was awarded to a group of young scientists whom are researching our uncatagorised animal population and catalouging their findings .

During the segment it was made mention of there being a BLACK PANTHER that roams the country in that region . Has anybody heard any reports from this area in the past ? I have lived in this region Mid Nth Coast for the past 6 yrs and it is i must say the first reference to the zone that I have encountered , the forrest in that area is very jungle like and would be a great lurking spot ! ..

yeh I heared about that radio interview, The mate they interviewed was named Tim. He mentioned about school kids of the age 7-8 ond over going bush in search of this said panther.
