the Widebay area

hi ive been on the forum now for awhile, could anyone please help me with some info of yowie activity in the Widebay area etc. bundaberg, childers, gin gin.

i held a skirmish event in the bush on the weekend........ my girlfriend came running back after hearing a growl.and no it wasnt somthing else, i ask her lots of questions and all i could come down to was yowie due to my experiances.
my dad also was standing at a check point and heard a "bloody big rock" thrown or dropped, later collecting equipment in the day he found a large patch of flat grass. at another event there we had some rocks thrown at the HQ, at night.

i will admit i had 21 people roaming the 50ac between 2pm and 10pm and some of the players are every good, u could walk past some and not know.

i have been out at the feild orgainising stuff and have had the presence of somthing there and being watch, i am not the only one to have this.

please help out.

Timmy, being in Texas, I'm not sure how close you live to Dean Harrison, Mike "Bloody" (LOL!) Williams, Alex "Deadpool" Boldy and Al Pitman, among others, but they do go out on field trips and get some awesome results in terms of evidence of presence of the Yowie. See if you can go along on some of their field trips, by all means. Even if they haven't caught an actual Yowie on film yet, they find plenty of good signs of them, and have a "jolly good time".

P. S. Timmy, I know what you mean about feeling their presence. I've felt the same thing here in Texas and Oklahoma, doing my own looking or just wandering around my old property on the San Bernard River. So I bet your feeling has been right on the money.

EB is resurrected! Or reincarnated, he's come back as Doc. Actually, except for the names and a few of the changes regarding the Yowie, EB (IMO) was more right than he was wrong. BF and by extension the Yowie are definitely not your plain, garden variety, F&B cryptid. Most definitely abnormal.

on the weekend we did the great ozzie camp out thing at a private property (440ac) and we disscused it and a lady (jenny) who has only been a couple times to where the skirmish event was held said that there were two spirits, one up at the gate which like to throw objects and one around the toilets. she did say they are friendly. thank god!

jenny and my mum got lost at the camp out, so jenny was hearing a older man speaking to her. So jenny told my mum. my mum ask for his help to find their way back. they ended up gettin back through a short cut which no one knew about.
the older man died around 12years back and his wife still lives there. its great to know that there are spirits out there that will help you.

With that kind of support system, you know you've got a friend. But the one that throws things around needs to tone it down.

But on a more serious note, Timmy, I do believe that disembodied spirits do occasionally stay in the physical plane for a while before they realized they've passed away, usually as the result of a sudden, violent accident or even a shooting death, or death in action during wars. I have a Choctaw shaman friend in Oklahoma who has assisted a few in moving on to the "other side" and continuing their journey. So I have no problem with your concept. Bless your good heart.

Wide Bay is an interesting place for me...

I was on an exercise in Wide Bay Training Area back in about 2000. We were on enemy party duty for the main force.
One night we had to leave our camp to conduct a roving contact on one of the troops. When we got back, hootchies had been torn down and our rations had been raided. The camp looked like it had been ransacked.
At the time we put it down to being on one of the main MTR's and close to the back gate (which is only about a k or 2 from the highway to Rainbow Beach) but our camp was at least 50 m off the MTR and they would have had to find it in the dark.

At the time, Yowies were not of interest to me but when i look back now, it does get you thinking...

yes it is, i have heard a few stories from ex army about the 'Wide Bay Training Area'. ive gone out bush camping and my tools have gone missing one day and then they appeared a day later at the back of my hootchie, but i never found out what its was. i was deep in the scrub with my ex girlfriend and nothing was out of the norm.
