THE LEMONTREE PASSAGE GHOST

I don't know how much you know about this story, but it is a fairly decent one. One night there was a 20 year old motorcyclist who lived on Brownes Road, Lemontree Passage, and there was a bunch of teenagers speeding down that road, and as he came out of Brownes road (adjacent to lemontree passage road), they hit the motorcyclist and he died instantly. Now for any P plater who speeds down that road will see a single light behind them then as they past the bronwes road turn off, it dissapears. Now thats what i had been told, and i dont believe in the whole "ghosts are out there" thing. Until last night.

I was at the local RSL last night, smashin some money through the pokies and havin a good time with the missus and lads. We were planning on going to see this "ghost" at midnight and my mate, skeptical as me decided to tag along.

We got up there and we pulled over to have a smoke beforewards. My mate, still skeptical, basically taking the piss out of the whole situation. Everyone in the back basically saying to him to just wait and see.

We finally waited till there were no cars coming either way (thats how it works)., Then punched the car. We got to speeds of over 150km/h then we finally see this light come from behind us, as the story said it chased us then turned off to its street and dissapeared. My mate was still skeptical. He said if it happens again he will be sold. It didnt happen for a few times after that. Then it happened again. He said to turn around and pull over at the intersection, to see if someone was just taking the piss out of us. There was no sign of a bike or any tracks or anything.

Then nothing happened for an hour or so.

So i thought to myself why wasnt it working? Then i remembered how to piss ghosts off, so i went down the street in which he lived and started antagonising it, ALOT
"you got nothing"
"you dont scare me"

basically anything to piss a 20 year old off.

Then it started getting windy, ALOT! Tree branches were falling onto the ground, car started wobbling. Then my mate needed to take a piss, so i pulled over and he said to me to just drive. I was wondering why, he said he didnt want to talk about it, and i said come one then he said, when i got out of the car i felt like i just died. Everyone in the back was freaking out, but because i didnt believe in ghosts or anything, i was thrilled.

Then all of a sudden we see a MASSIVE blue light FILL the night sky. We were all wondering why and freking out, then we thought maybe it was the power station and we thought it was because all the lights were out. At least we thought ALL the lights were out.

It was just Browne Streets lights.

That happened 4 times.

The music on my stereo stopped, but the timer kept going

3 times.

Then it was about 2.30am

We thought, yknow we are pissing off a supernatural presence that doesnt want to be pissed off. So we decided to leave.

As we were leaving we saw the light behind us. About 1km away, we thought "ohh just a car". About 4 or 5 seconds later, it was 5 meters away from my car. NOTHING can get from 0m to 1km in 4-5 seconds!!! None of my mates had heard anything about it chasing people out. Big blue lights in the sky, and screwing around with peoples stereos. Now everything i believed in about ghosts has now gone out the window.

BTW: your story sounds more like an Urban legend more than anything, but thanks for sharing.

EDITED to add: Just did a quick look up on google looks like there is something into this after all found a few youtube clips, dont know enough about this ghost to comment.

Well low and behold found some good Youtube videos on the Lemon tree passage Ghost, the story goes along the lines of a bike rider who swerved and hit a telegraph pole or something to that degree and now haunts the road with people who speed.

There is part one and part two, part one is probably the better one, there are some other vids out there on the subject but there adolescents swearing their heads off.

That road has two bens in it, but the road looks strate . I no this road like the back of my hand and yes I have speed along it. I no all the people who live along it and all the people in Lemontree Passage and have a lot of family. This story is BS .

asked my wife and she said a lot of people have died on that road from f-a-18 jets droping petrol on the road and people speeding.The story is BS like I said.

I had my p's for two years on that road.
Don't speed on that road you will deid and I woundn't like that to happen to you.

I call BS. It gets on my BS-O-Meter. The "requirements" for seeing this ghost are doing 112km/h or over and be a P plater? Since when did ghosts have restrictions? "You Must Be This Tall To View This Ghost". As far as i'm concerned, ghosts are.. how to put it; 3D images of the past. Thats a, well I've encountered several and heard about several more but I like to call that "Category A". That video/story is "Category P", for "p***take", I wasted my bandwidth on that?

Originally before viewing the videos I was thinking something along the lines of min-min lights, but now seeing that video i'm thinking.. I dunno, faulty streetlight, reflection off the road, whatever.

Going to be on today tonight tonight 26th August. I hope its true but if you speed your a loser seen to many people die and lose legs and mangled wrecks. Kids with cars dont work. Took me till my 20's to realise its a privilage.

Well i think its a optical illusion now after watching a few u tube vids and today tonight
They waited on side of road and a car comes then they still see light and another car comes. I would of been great if it was real. But not worth losing your life over! or sum1 elses.

I've heard this story too. I sped along it late one night on the way back to Newcastle a few months back - didn't see anything, but it was very cold and foggy. Nobody else on the road - definitely eerie! I also know that the Hornets don't do petrol dumps. I've had 3 family members work on them out of Williamtown, and the most exciting thing I've ever seen them do were 'touch and go's from the end of the runway, and whip around Soldiers vertical at less than 300ft.

But apparently the cops booked something like 50+ people for speeding along LTP Rd the weekend after the news item aired about the ghost... :p
