Re: Illawarra
I had a good look around the Mt. Kembla/Keira areas a while back. Found nothing much as far as cryptids go, nice areas for bushwalking though. The place really starts jumping around dusk, there always seems to be something trundling through the bush, but no yowies nor anything that might indicate yowies that I found (which doesn't mean they aren't there of course).
If you don't find anyone local to share your interest, it might still be worth having a look around on your own. The advantage is that at least you not only get to do things entirely your own way, but can go on spur of the moment and don't have to disappoint anyone else when something crops up, or be disappointed when relying on someone else. Just need to use a few common sense precautions.
I found the Blue Mountains more whorthwhile, I now believe many of the stories/sightings there have some truth to them, not only the hairy man ones.

Rules of debunking
Any conventional explanation is better than none.
Don`t bother me with the facts my mind is made up.
If one can`t attack the data, attack the people, it is easier!
Do one`s research by proclamation; investigation is too much trouble.

If you do SAB8, cover up in the more rainforest parts. Otherwise the ticks will have trouble finding a patch of skin to cling to, due to the leaches.SAB 8 wrote:Mt Kembla again! I`m continually hearing about that place..... I am definitely going to go down there one day for a looksey aroundski!

No worries str8rida. I thought so, but as no one had answered I thought it better to ask. I looked around earlier this year, no I didn't go out the back of Dapto.
Good luck.
Good luck.

Hey guys, a few of my mates have said they have seen large figures running around near the water towers in cringila. We went up there last night at around 1am and once we got up there we could hear this loud type of screeching sound comming form this very large ditch filled with dence jungle. The mates who said they seen them are 100% sure they are yowies. We are thinking of going up during the next coupple of nights if anyone is keen.

Re: Illawarra
I always wondered how far down the from the bush they would go it wouldnt be to hard for them theres plenty of little patchs of bush throughout wollongong i reckon they start of at west dapto and make there way down mullet creek to berkeley and then just moving on from there using the small areas of bush to cringila if your mates are right. Question is why tho?adrian23q wrote:Hey guys, a few of my mates have said they have seen large figures running around near the water towers in cringila. Re: Illawarra
That is interesting, this is only a relatively small area, completely enclosed 360 degrees by a steelworks, industrial estates, suburbs/medium density housing, busy 4 lane main roads, a freeway, railway etc.
Why are your mates so sure these figures are yowies?
