Hello folks

Unread post by Reverend Strone »

Hello everyone,

I'm new to these forums though not new to this field of interest. My name is Daniel and I am based in Wellington, New Zealand (not much opportunity for primary research here!). I'm a professional artist and writer working in the film and television effects industry. I design creatures, among other things, for movies, so i have always had an interets in teh natural world and in particular in natural mysteries. Monster stories are stock and trade for my industry but my interest is in the possible natural explanations behidn the real monster stories coming out of Australia, Asia, North America and many other parts of the world. To that end I have read everything I can get my hands on, watched as much as I can get ahold of and spoken to as many folks as I can associated with the 'hairy hominid' mysteries. I've been in the field a few times and seen some very interesting evidence in person. I'm eager to learn what I can and look forward to interacting with my aussie brothers and sisters here to see if we can't figure out what it is you guys have going on over there.

Oh and the user name is based on a fictional character. I'm neither religious, nor a real reverend. :)

Hello New Zealand sisters (Reverend Strone)

There no possible natural explanations and figure out what it is you guys have going on over .

Reverend Strone Its the real deal.I have seen one.And I'm getting alot of reports of farmers who have seen them. But I don't have there prmisson to post.

And the farmers are real farmers, not tree changes from the city.

I never believe in Yowies , bigfoot or UFO when I was growing up.But after I seen one , yes there real.

Oh, I should clarfy what I meant by that because you have me wrong there. By natural explanation, I mean that as in, the yowie as a natural, flesh and blood, real creature (as opposed to something supernatural or spirirtual or even psychological). By no means did I mean to suggest that there was nothing to the phenomenon - far from it. I have spoken with and trust too many folks who have seen them to think that.

By 'figuring out what you have going on over there' I suppose what I should have written was 'understand the nature of the yowie,' because that's what I meant by that.

But thanks for the hello! :)

It's all good! (thumb up)

I did post a pic of what looks like a yowie siting in a tree .Some of the farmers reported to me that thay have seen the yowie face to face .Thay have told me what the face looks like. The face thay have seen sounds like the pic I have.
The farms have not seen my pic's and thay don't have the net on,And thay don't have books about yowies.
So I will get them to draw a pic of what thay saw.

Thanks for sharing the picture. I can see what you're refering to in there. It's hard to be sure of course because you're into some pretty heavy pixelation zoomed in like that, but I appreciate there is a something very much like a face in there. Interesting image. Anyhow, nice to meet you and I look forward to chatting with you around the boards.

Ahhhh, gotcha. Thanks. Yeah, that was a fun trip. I thoroughly enjoyed hanging out with DO.

There's some kind of indistinct heat signature back there in that video, but we'll never know what it was, assuming it was even an animal of some kind and not some other subtle difference in heat that the therm was registering. It's odd that it seems somewhat stationary when the trees move in the wind, but is a squatch? I have no idea. I doubt it, but it'd be cool if it was! :D
