If nothing else was known about the actual evidence, circumstances, and personalities involved it would come across as compelling testimony in favour of the Yowie.

1/There was no "evidence" either way..what part of that does NW not get.
2/Circumstances and personalities eh..you mean like the two mad witnesses that you based your own hoax ideas on.
Witness one said he saw the eyes/heard the footsteps and sensed the dread....
Witness 2 claimed the glowing eyes were his because his eyes had cataracts and they glow under torchlight .which then morphed into ....that he was actually a shapeshifter who could be in many places.
It was Mr cataracts shifting through time and space and appearing to everyone in a different location.
Yep..that sure does explain everything as a hoax NW..??????
Oh the shame..a "sceptic" needing the testimony of a teleporting shape shifter.
No explanation from NW...no mention of any of the above..anywhere in NW thousands of posts..nothing..just ..cricket noises..

That quote about investigating is hilarious.... how many people has this guy interviewed in person? How many times has he travelled to the site of an encounter to look for physical evidence or supporting testimony??? Armchair research at its best , and when there are gaps in his conclusions because of his laziness, or because the witness testimony does not support his “mythology-hoax” hypothesis he simply confabulates the data to meet that criteria.

Out of hundreds of cases on record Ed has selected a small handful of cases to support his claims.... in which he has either confabulated the data as in DHs encounter; or by large he tends to select more weaker cases, even clear examples of practical jokes,. For example, Ed congratulated himself on solving the Pilliga bus-yowie encounter......

This incident involved a busload of schoolkids complete with tales of yowies and other scary things of the night, when low and behold a yowie turns up on the roadside to greet the bus!!! It took everyone but Ed a whole nano-second to determine this was sh#*s and giggles.... but not Ed... The very fact that he presents this case as supporting material for his beliefs is a clear sign of desperation....... Talk about a weak body of work!!!

One of the cases he is uncertain about is the 2009 Mount George encounter, quite conveniently Ed has not even bothered to follow this one up.... seems it doesn`t support his conclusions of mythology and hoaxing.... so best stay away from the stronger cases Ed. Your mates at the Australian Debunkers Society mightn`t like you delving into those ones!!! GREAT RESEARCH CHAMP!!!! In-depth , analytical , OBJECTIVE !!! What a joke!!!

Ed`s major specialities are selecting, twisting or confabulating material which supports his belief system, that is, the phenomenon is simply mythology, a massive conspiracy of hoaxing and story telling... according to Ed this mythology and hoaxing has been occurring for over 100 years and involves hundreds of people from a wide cross-section of the population from all corners of the country..... Even though the vast majority of witnesses are totally independent of each other, have absolutely nothing to gain from telling their story, many have no prior knowledge or interest in the subject, yet time and time again they give remarkably similar accounts!!!! According to Ed this is all just one massive Mythological Hoax, hundreds of people over numerous decades banding together to pull off a massive deception!!!!! ANYONE UP FOR SOME GREAT CONSPIRACY THEORIES??? The scary part is that I think this guy actually believes his own deluded dribble...

I would be one of the first to leap to the defence of those falsely maligned but you have this absolutely wrong. This forum is supportive of many varied opinions but is rightfully intolerant of those who unjustly accuse others of outright lies and fabrication of evidence, particularly when the accusers evidence is confined to what is in their own mind and not backed up by facts. We do not need the divisive input of someone who has no respect for those who are intelligent enough to make up their own minds about the information being presented, or the credibility of the individuals involved. So, I'd be very careful about coming in here and calling anyone "gutless" sunshine, especially highly respected members who, like me, do not suffer fools easily. Insult my intelligence and launch personal attacks and you are not welcome. Frankly, NW is deserving of the same level of disrespect he dishes out. Some call it karma and it can be a real bitch. Me, I call it the Golden Rule - treat others as you would like to be treated. I think you owe an apology or two here - and quickly.

There is no evidence that anything occurred..bingo..nada...like 99.99999999 % of all "encounters" with these creatures..ll
But numerous witnesses did hear and see something odd..
The 2 main witnesses that said it was fake..one heard and saw stuff and the other..to explain away what was happening down in the gully..had himself teleporting.

Fact is, the issue has been taken up numerous times and collectively hundreds of responses have been made relating to this case and others! As Mike states, Mr. Ed is a serial poster with what can only be described as an obsession and dire need to debunk the phenomena and everyone associated with it. I for one just don`t have the time and patience anymore to respond to the zillion other forum postings where he has presented his slandering lies. The few I did bother with Ed mysteriously went missing or waited for some other wannabe debunker to come to his defence.

As Mike has previously mentioned, lies and slanderous character assassination in conjunction with no supporting evidence is simply not tolerated..... If you are going to call someone a liar, attempt to defame, then take it all a step further by claiming the whole subject and anyone associated with it is engaged in hoaxing or mythological story tellIing, then at the very least present some convincing material to back up your claims.... The material NW has presented is simply ridiculous and laughable at best!!!

While along those lines, you may want to enquire why several individuals I am aware of have been banned from AusCypt for not towing the company line.... Talk about the pot calling the kettle black!!!
