What was the exact date and do you have a time of night? What camera was used? What kind and where were the lights in the yard and what direction were they shining ( if they were a spot light)? What happened to using the flash for night shots?

When you present stuff like this then please provide all the technical information as well.

What we have here is a grainy photo of what looks like four people and a secondhand statement from people whose recollection of events was, given your statement, no doubt impaired by alcohol consumption. With all due respect, what do you really expect us to think!

Funny how the 'ghost' just so happens to look like he is doing what the rest of them are doing.. first pic he is drinking.. second pic he is taking a piss behind the fence

ie. Fourth person there

Seriously lol... agree with Andrew, what else do you expect us to think... looks like a fourth person, acting like a fourth person = its a fourth person

No offence but you cant be serious lol

The first pic looks like the ghosty image is holding the guy beside him's hand. Have to agree horerider, the second one is a woman.

yowiedan;

Suggest to your friend they reformat the SD card before the next outing. This looks like a bad overwrite to me. The lack of detail in the new image fails to overwrite the left over artifacts from the previous exposures....

Nothing against your friend, or his equipment choices but it's a common issue and often overlooked if ya don't/can't remember the previous deleted frames.

Cheers

No anger Yowiedan. Just asking you to look at these things more objectively. As Nopolys said there are other explanations. Apply Occam's razor. "It is a principle urging one to select among competing hypotheses the one which makes the fewest assumptions and thereby offers the simplest explanation of the effect."

We all get caught now and then by leaping to the first conclusion that comes to mind without looking at all possibilities and testing each of them. :)

If you look really closely at the face of the anomalous figure you can see that the hairline, forehead and general shape of the face is almost identical to the very real individual standing next to it. The hairline and forehead in particular are in my opinion the exact shape.... so yes, probably some sort of camera effect? I would be interested to see whether any photos were previously taken that night of the individual in question holding a stubbie? I think NoPolys could be spot on with his suggestion.

Also, lets try and keep the comments positive. Forum members should feel free to put up their experiences and claims without being hassled or overly criticised. Remember everyone has varying levels of experience and knowledge in regards to the paranormal and this should always be taken into account before passing judgement or comment.

Should these photos be misiniterpreted and have in fact a conventional explanation they are still valuable examples of just that. Therefore as an educational tool for forum members and researchers (whatever their level of expertise) this is a valuable contribution. Either way thanks for your posting yowiedan.
