Seeing UFO's seeing in other spectrums - whats latest tech?

Hello,

Assuming, and this is a big assumption, that part of the reason we can't see ufos well is because our eyes can't see the spectrum of light they are in, I was wondering anyone knew of what technology is up to in regards in seeing in other spectrums and whats commercially available?

I am still learning about spectrums of light, educating myself in documentaries on the subject - if you know good documentaries I could watch about the the above, please pass them on.

I know that we have developed a meta-material that bends certain wavelengths of light around an object. X-ray or gamma-ray I can recall. Whatever wavelength it was was is invisible to us and was bent around a tube. If we could only see in that wavelength the tube would be invisible. So its been done theoretically and with limited success. Im trying to find an old link to the article but it seems as though its been rendered invisible.

I remember about a year ago there was an article about an American or Canadian mate that was using infra red binoculars, he was hosting nights on a very regular basis and i think he was even charging people, http://www.realufos.net/2008/04/night-vision-ufos.html.
