Thanks Dion. The price sounds reasonable. I have an Aldi down the road. It will give me something to ponder. Truth is I don't know enough about the technology and aldi doesn't give many specs. I've heard discussion of differences between 1st, 2nd & 3rd generation ranging from toy store models to military high tech. I suppose the only way is to buy one. I'll at least check its packaging for info if the local stocks them.
Still looking.

Hey Dave how did you go?, I dare say they would have sold out pretty quick as most things from ALDI usually do.

Made it down today. One in glasscase & too busy to open it for me. Took a picture of the packaging and specs as best I could.

Mine's still working well, although I have last years version. Batteries (CR123A) can be expensive in Australia and Energizers can be around $10 each! I bought a 10 pack of Energizers from Ebay for $25 or get rechargeable batteries. Updating the SD card to a class 10 with higher capacity would also be recommended as it comes with a cheap and nasty one.

Have just bought one of these, and seems to work quite well. Good price for a unit that records.
