Mt. Glorius
Went for a drive up to Mt. Glorius just out side Samford Qld. last week it had been raining. On the way I went through the Bunya State Forest near Bunya Riverside where I had heard what I believe to have been a yowie howling like (Ohio recording)a couple of years ago.
Then it was up to Mt. Glorius, on the way up the forest was starting to get more thicker and very green. Iwent through town and stopped at a lookout but the clouds were to low so you couldnt get a good view. There was a track to left and right of me,I started to go down the right one but started to have weird things go through my head like what if Harry jumps out from behind one of those trees Im here by myself A A .
But its alot like Tamborine, Springbrook, Kenilworth, Tully even Cairns. Old mate wouldnt have much problem at all with adapting to his enviroment.

Geoff,
Do you mean Bunya as in the Bunya Mountains past Toowoomba? My girlfriends grandfather owns this awesome lodge, totally isolated right at the top of the mountains. I've only been there once and I didn't really notice anything strange, so I wonder if this deserves a closer inspection?
Does anyone know of any sightings or encounters from this area?
Cheers.

Bunya Riverside near Arana Hills Qld.
On the way back from doing a job at Laidley Qld.today I took the Esk turnoff heading towards Wivenhoe Dam then took the Mt. Glorious turnoff pulled over a few times to listen to the bush, there is a number of parkes along the way. I noticed a number of bridges as well, high enough for shelter or for Something to get from one side of the road to the next.

dont know the name of it but you turn off at the saw mill
and keep going down hill to it i think it the main one
the other ground was always close .
as for the kids they scare me
just imagine what they do to a poor yowie just minding he own business.

come to think about it we was camping at mt mee i went for a walk up the creek from the swimming hole for about 200 meters till i found a dead roo in the creek
i did not get to close to it.
because of the smell it was like cat pee x100 it look like it had not been in there long.
like to know what up there to kill a roo
:
might have been a snake seen a few red bellys up there.
