Re: Strange light in the sky
Following is an attachment of a pic depicting the full besser brick structure, a fire watch tower. Not sure when and how often it is manned. Assuming I have the right mountain - light could have arisen from the watch tower or tower.

Thanks. Yes it is quite possible. I wish someone could overlay the photos to pinpoint the daytime location.. is it on the top of the mountain, above in the clear sky or behind the tallest tree branches. Hopefully I can find someone who can confirm the location.rowbe wrote: Tue Sep 25, 2018 12:32 pm Forgot to mention, I used Google Earth Pro to check the summit e.g., location of structures.

The mystery light is clearly positioned behind the tree. Click on the image for a larger view.

Here's a closer shot with some enhancements of the tree and the unknown light. ![Image]()

Thankyou searcher! That helps a lot. The light looks too high to be a tower on the mountain but the tree branch movement may be causing the light's percieved movement in the enlarged video.Searcher wrote: Tue Sep 25, 2018 2:28 pm Here's a closer shot with some enhancements of the tree and the unknown light.![]()

Re: Strange light in the sky
I put a camera out over three seperate nights since I last posted and last night captured the light again for about 50 minutes. Not as bright this time.
All I can say is the only source of light that could come from the top of Mount Tennant would come from the firetower but, again, this light appears to be above the mountain. Anyway I'll post the photos below and a short video I made below.
I'm not sure if I'm going to persue it any further.

Good effort Dave for following it up. Other than staying out there at night or actually going up to the restricted area or speaking to fire tower staff, there's not much else you could do.

Thanks mate.. I've decided not to spend anymore time on it. Back to my average research.Yowie bait wrote: Thu Oct 04, 2018 4:18 pm Good effort Dave for following it up.
