I spoke to the bloke who saw a Hairy Bloke just outside Grafton again tonight.
It was back around '91.
He and a mate were seeing how quick they could get down the coast (back before speed cameras). They went past a huge, human shape standing only a couple of metres from the road.
He reckoned they must have surprised it coming up so fast as they were. Both saw it and still talk about it to this day. He says the memory is really fresh.
It stood at least 8 foot, possibly 9 foot tall and they went past so fast it was a flash but one that stuck in both their minds.
I gave him this website address and he said he will definitely submit a report.
As he recalled the memory his eyes were wide and I could tell from his expression there was no BS.

Re: Grafton sighting update
Thank you Wolf,
I’m looking forward to hearing all about it. The Grafton area is slowly gathering more and more Reports. It’s a tin of worms.
I was living in the area back in 91’, before speed cameras... the Pacific Hwy from the GC to Sydney was awful before the bypasses. I think I broke most land speed records then.
