Nangar national park
Hi everyone, i am going to be recording sounds in the nangar national park. Great area, ive heard a few stories about the place and ive visited it a few times now. Definitely has that 'weird ' vibe out there. Im curious if anyone else has heard/seen/experienced strange things out there? Thanks.

Good luck Billygoat , hope you catch something cool !
As for activity in Nangar national park , there doesn't seem to be anything on here after searching , doesn't mean there's nothing there though .
If there is something there , an audio recorder should pick something up .

Hi Billygoat
It's been about 15 years since I been to Nangar N/P, didn't have any experiences there, but yes it has that vibe though! - I hope you come across something interesting, as it's a nice place to get away and camp.
15 years ago you could enter the park from the east side, but now I think it's only from the Escort Rock side [west] - do you know if that is correct thanks, as I've been thinking about leading a trip [4wd convoy - not Yowie hunting] to there and nearby areas!
Nearby Roseberg and Pennsylvania Forests are worth a shot if you never been in that area trying to get sounds recorded!
Cheers,
Paul

Had 11 minutes of audio out of 4 nights. Something moved it around two different times, and caught a roar, not a scream or yell, in the far distance.

Cool. Did the area still have the same vibe? Have you managed to get the audio into a computer /web file?Billygoat wrote: Sun Aug 25, 2019 2:46 pm Had 11 minutes of audio out of 4 nights. Something moved it around two different times, and caught a roar, not a scream or yell, in the far distance.
What made you take the photo? Usual question: any more in the same angle showing the same shape or the shape not there?

Re: Nangar national park
Just this one. Haven't uploaded any audio yet, ill have to get Audacity or something. When i was driving in and when I was retrieving the recorder i definitely had that creepy feeling. No one for miles, but heard a few noises over the ridge. Unfortunately I was moving around when i heard them so didnt catch exactly what it sounded like. Maybe a crack or two, like a slap ??. Definitely will be following up on more audio out there, maybe a night stay. Alone!!

They are the same image - first is just brighter and has higher contrast. Second is the original unedited version.AL Pitman wrote: Mon Aug 26, 2019 12:01 am WOW just wow
