Re: Charges
Hey there welcome to the forums.
Can you go into a bit more detail as to what happened?
How big do you think this thing was that charged at you? etc.
Wild Pig/Boar maybe the culprit?

When you say you couldnt see anything when you shone your torch at it, does that mean you could see the surrounding area or was it thick bush?Thecreeper wrote: Tue Jan 07, 2020 9:17 am Hey mate

Also what kind of sound did it make?
If it was Yowie and I say if (as there are many animals it could have been), it may have been displeased at you lighting up a smoke, considering much of the Australian bush at the moment is up in flames? But thats pure speculation.

Re: Charges
It was bush but it was a open area next to the river
What it sounded like was that it charged out of the bush but there was no noise of it running off and nothing was seen when i hit that spot with the torch
It was weird its hard to explain the only noise i coukd make that sounded like it is if u suck air into your mouth with the back of your tongue pushed back towards your throat so that when u suck the air in the dangley bit at the back of your throat vibrates it was loud but i could bairly hear it i just cant explain very well hey
Haha maybe but i hadnt lit it or anything i was just rolling it so i was looking down when it happened it is within 8km of the edge of the green wattle creek fires
i had been out to the same spot at the same time the last week and havnt herd anything

Hi again
I have some theories as to why you could not see what you heard but I'll leave it at that.

An animal that blended into the background that you were not able to recognise or a Yowie that wasnt fully in this Dimension.

Re: Charges
There are numerous animals that makes alot of noise in the bush even though they are small. One is the lyre bird, it can make so much noise while digging you think it's a much larger animal. Wombats can make a Hell of a racket while walking through the bush. If you have a trail came and sound recorder it might pay dividends to place them in the area during the daytime and leave for a week and see what you get from that.

Re: Charges
The first night that I was out call blasting with a pair of weak 25 watt speakers and the Tahoe scream, I had a Bigfoot charge me starting from about 500 yards away. I was parked out in the middle of a clear cut on an Indian reservation in Washington. This was my second stop that night and I had already got the c**p scared out of me on my first stop, where two ran at me through thick brush and stopped a few yards away. Anyways, after sending out a fairly poorly cleaned up Tahoe scream, I thought that I heard a distant noise. It was about midnight and there was not much other noises to compete with. Anyways, as I focused on this distant noise, I noticed that it was getting louder and louder. Then I noticed that is sounded like a bipedal running across this freshly logged area, kicking everything out of the way that it hit. I had a gen 3 select alpha night vision monocular and I quickly scanned the area of the approaching noise but I could not see a thing. It did not take long for me to figure out that I had just opened up Pandora's box and could not close it, and that I furthermore, was about to die since the noise was quite loud and coming directly at me. Even though I was standing directly in front of my suv and could have ran back inside and locked the door, instead I chose to document my impending death. So I flipped on my video camera that I had been plugging the monocular into, in order to get a video of this enraged monster ripping me limb from limb. In the moment that it took the camera to get fully on, I noticed that the noise that had got to about 50 yards away, had now stopped. Instead, what I heard was some feet shifting around, and then they turned and started walking off towards one side of the clear cut. But I still could not see anything through my monocular, with or without the infrared assist. In addition to hearing the footsteps walking off, I sensed the emotion of confusion coming from this powerful being.
Later, after talking to the night shift police officer, he said that there was a large female sasquatch that pretty much owned that area near the town of Queets.
On an ensuing camping trip to the same clear cut area, I managed to lure in a Bigfoot that let out a laugh that sounded like a cross between a hyena and a horse. There are no horses that run free on that Indian reservation.
I also did a lot of ensuing research at a borrow pit by that clear cut, where I determined that a Bigfoot will hang out in the exact same spot for weeks on end, and wait for some noise at night to cause him to wake up and change phases into a 3D being and run to investigate the noise. When I walked through those same areas during the daylight hours, there was absolutely nothing there.
So the lesson to be learned here is if a Yowie is charging you, turn on your video camera or a flashlight, and listen to him instantly stop his charge. If neither of these ideas work, then I woud guess that we won't be getting any further feedback on this technique, from you.

Fascinating encounter! Which model monocular were you using?

Sorry, just saw the model - so it was a night vision monocular not thermal? Looks like a very good one but you would still need to pick the shape/where the hairy was which is notoriously difficult.

They are invisible virtually all of the time. At best, you might see a fuzzy black cloud before it vaporizes all together. Orbs can be seen with the IR assist, which are Yowie/Bigfoot. When they are standing 3 feet in front of you and you still can't see it with the night vision monocular, pointing it in the right direction is the very least of your worries.

The success or lack of success in operating the equipment, and the analysis therefore, is 100% dependent on analyzing all of the available and pertinent facts. It would be dishonest of me to omit critical facts that would lead the reader in the wrong direction, for why some particular piece of equipment is completely ineffective.Rusty2 wrote: Sat Feb 29, 2020 7:51 amNeil , can we please leave any controversial hypotheses to the controversial section of the forum .

Re: Charges
So, for the inexperienced, shouldn't there be different (hopefully distinctly different, not just marginally) between an illuminated scene in monotone vs cool/hot colour and shape?
It seems to be well established that illuminated IR will stick out like a sore thumb to somebody sensitive to IR, but passive thermal should be more covert (not requiring illumination) so "should" be more successful, with a heap of luck still, with our hairy friends.
I know Flirs are popular, have heard Pulsar have good distance penetration (5000ft) if your surroundings were suitable. They seem to have no issue with zoom, but wide angle seems safer to me. Don't want to to spend a lot of time glued to a scope with 90% of your immediate surrounds unmonitored.

I have already explained ad nauseaum, how each field researcher can find proof for themselves that the Yowie are paranormal, in that moment in the forest. And I have explained how the President of the United States has stated on TV to the news media, that the Bigfoot are paranormal. Which of course, means that the Yowie are paranormal. Which also means that it is not a matter of opinion, but rather a scientific fact. And I stated the science that came to that conclusion. So your wish has already been turned into reality. Your welcome in advance.Rusty2 wrote: Sat Feb 29, 2020 6:41 pmOf course .themanfromglad wrote: Sat Feb 29, 2020 2:59 pm It would be dishonest of me to omit critical facts that would lead the reader in the wrong direction,
