Found this possible print on Wednesday at an area on the Central Coast, I also found another print from the same area which I did not photograph (yes kicking myself ) It was on a track in the mud and looked to me to be from a child about the age of 7, a small print, but defined five toes and looked reasonably fresh.
Just wondering who lets their children walk around in the mud in a cold damp rain forested area when there could be leeches and other critters not to mention getting their feet dirty?

Yeah odd.. unless you have jungle boy living in the area it's unusual. Twice last year I found human sized prints that were in places that the average sane person would be wearing boots. I think it just adds to the provenance.

Were you targeting prints Dion ?
Not as such.... but I was targeting an newly reported area, it just so happens that where I was there were some great sandy creek beds, as per photo above.
I always keep an eye out for prints if there are sandy creeks about.

My thoughts exactly.

Nice find Dion, from that perspective it looks to be awfully wide for its length, with the toes splayed outward..
I'm guessing you found them down the south end of the coast?

Lets say a radius of 20km from Gosford.

Nice, no shortage of good spots in that area. I have an overnight kayak fishing/Yowie hunt on the cards for a tidal creek down that way, perhaps as early as late spring..
Got back to the area I found these two possible prints yesterday, unfortunately the one in the mud on the track (reason I went back) was gone, run over by multiple other shoe prints and dog prints and the one in the sand above I could hardly recognise at all, I am guessing the rainy weather over the week just made it disappear.
Just goes to show nature can take over very quickly.

Have you thought about going back and leaving a sound recorder out for a few days? You might get lucky

No I had not thought of that, thinking about it now however its a very popular spot for people to go and bring their dogs for a walk, so the sound recorder couldn't work during the day otherwise It would just pick up people talking and dogs barking. I could set the sound recorder to only come on at night however.
Something to think about I suppose.

Finding footprints in a area that is popular with people walking their dogs????
Yes Bluedog, the only reason I am there is because of some recent reported sightings.

Thanks Dion ,interesting that there is activity in a area frequented by humans and dogs. could you give us a bit of a rundown of whats going on in activity wise in the area? Have there been any recent sightings?

Hey Bluedog,
Activity wise there is nothing going on at all and as previously stated, just some recent sightings by people, a group of two and a single person.
I would give details out but there is an Audio report to come (when time permits for Dean).

My ears just pricked up, you mean these are different in relation to the Woywoy sightings?
You could throw us a bone ...lol

Excuse my ignorance, but do not "sightings" qualify as "activity"?

Hi Greg
"Activity" to me is something that is "ongoing" (continues to happen for a period of time). Example: "activity" to me is a area being hit with ongoing unusual phenomenon such as tree breaks, footprints or hearing howls etc for days or weeks on end.
In this case I dont think a couple of sightings equals activity, just my opinion.
