Have you ever seen a UFO?

Unread post by Searcher »

One of my two UFO sightings was of a black box hanging motionless in the sky right next to the Melbourne CBD. It appeared to be observing the city's tall buildings. I raced off to grab my camera (this happened just before the advent of phone cameras) and by the time I got back, the object had disappeared into cloud. I was not a happy chappy! Needless to say, there was nothing in the daily news about it.

I recently watched an episode of 'Unidentified' on the History Channel when I saw this recreation of US Navy jets encountering a fast flying black box. It was EXACTLY like the same shape and colour as the craft I saw. This time I was able to pause the TV, whip out the iPhone and snap a still picture. Got it! For what it's worth, here it is.

If the subject of UFO's is ever bought up in casual conversation, I'm always surprised how many people actually claim to have seen one.
HAVE YOU SEEN ONE?? If you have, please tell us about it as I'd be really interested. Thanks in advance.

One night out hunting with my uncle and his mates we we finished up made a fire and sat round to have some food and a couple of beers
while we were all chatting away my uncle says check them 2 satellites cruising along they were directly in line with each other traveling at the same speed
One of his mates cracks a joke about it being the usa and russian space stations and they are probs flipping each other off or doing brown eyes at each other u could imagine what was said
Anyway while we are all sitting there trying not to wet ourselves laughing my uncles says s#@t the old satellites technology has come along away and i said what do u mean and he goes look the pricks heading back the oposite direction
Sure enough it was like they just chucked a u turn and headed back at the same speed and the same distance apart till they were out of site
My uncles mate jumped up and screamed out as loud as he could F**k You E.T and that was that never seen anything else that night or any other night out there since
Couldnt see what they were or anything just 2 bright lights traveling apart wasnt planes or helicopters or anything like that it was 2 high up and the spot we were at u could planes and helicopters coming from miles away

Cheers

Have you ever noticed that many of these UFO sightings all over the world look like they have been superimposed on a background like they are not real? and that in my opinion is because they are not. Suspended in the skies coloured lights flashing like Christmas decorations on a tree they just don't seem to blend in with the background. (detective)

G'day senses,

Short answer... No!

Take the famous 1966 Westall case east of Melbourne where over 200 students and teachers watched a clearly defined craft manoeuvre in front of them for around 20 minutes in broad daylight. No superimpositions there... and that's just one of many thousands. My research tells me UFOs with a discernible shape would be involved at least as many sightings over reports of indistinct 'lights in the sky'.

SEEING IS NOT NECESSARY BELIEVING IT CAN BE DECEIVING.
To me seeing UFOs in the sky is similar to watching a movie on an Xtreme movie screen, you can become so absorbed that it looks almost real even though it's not this is how I regard UFO sightings to me the vast majority are manifestations.
Have we ever been able to investigate one to see if it has a solid structure, not to my knowledge? Roswell may be an exception but I'm not convinced the investigators were getting the whole picture if it was true.

You quoted Take the famous 1966 Westall case east of Melbourne where over 200 students and teachers watched a clearly defined craft manoeuvre in front of them for around 20 minutes in broad daylight. Unquote. I have no doubt they were observing this craft but was it a solid shape? we can't prove that we are only presuming.
I can't recall the TV program I watched (Foxtel) referring to a UFO sighting by a large group of people at a night sporting event in the US (Arizona I think) It involved the sporting teams and a contingent of spectators in the arena three hundred in total who witnessed a UFO hovering over them it virtually covered the entire stadium before gliding slowly away. Everyone saw it that doesn't prove it was real as I said to prove that we need a scientific study of the craft which is not going to happen.
There are cases I know where humans have been abducted and taken aboard alien space crafts and then returned this I believe to be factual. In cases where a UFO has presented itself in solid form, they have done so for a reason.
I realise Searcher we are coming at this from different angles so once again we will probably have to disagree.

Cheers.

Hi Searcher,
The pics of UFOs in the lower attachment is exactly the type of image we are being presented with over and over again not much variation almost geometrically identical. I would have thought that if there are different aliens in the cosmos they would have all had their specific designs. To me, these all look contrived and rather cartoonish. Not blaming you but this is exactly the type of conspiracy we are told to believe. (sneaky)

G’day senses.

It would be good to keep the status quo, so I’ll respectfully agree to disagree with most of your opinions… (no no)

I’ll just say this. UFO’s are regularly tracked on radar and have been since the late 40’s. They give a radar return which means the beam bounces back from a solid object. This proof has been demonstrated many 1000’s of times over the decades! In fact, it is indisputable to any clear thinking person using logic.

Hi Searcher ! I read the title of your post here but only just read the content of what you were asking for .

While at work in July I was having lunch outside by myself and noticed something in the sky in the distance . I thought it was a crow at around 1 kilometre , couldn't quite make out what it was .

While eating my lunch and intermittently watching it (thinking it was nothing) it became apparent that it wasn't a crow but a black box on it's side like in the picture you posted . It was followed by what looked like an orange parachute without an occupant .
Both objects moved slowly from the north east towards south east .
I took my phone out but couldn't get anything because it was so too far away . I did however draw a picture when I got home .

Hey Rusty,

That is definitely a fascinating sighting! The parachute shaped thing following makes it twice as weird! Good idea to draw a picture straight away. I also did that after watching those two orange discs fly over Dalby. The picture I drew with a report was sent to Filers Files and published in his weekly newsletter for a world wide audience.

As is so often the case, it's sheer bad luck the object you saw was just out of camera range. (cries)

Black box or cube reports are relatively rare. Singer Robbie Williams has also gone public after seeing a black cube.

Do you still have the picture ?
Yeah it was weird and there was absolutely nothing I could do about it and no witnesses . :(

G'day Rusty,

At least I had a witness to verify my Dalby sighting.

Here's my report and a drawing of what I saw.

On the summer evening of January 4th 2011 at around 10 pm we were visiting Dalby in southern Queensland, Australia. I was talking with friends outside our motel room and as usual, was keeping an eye on the night sky.

I suddenly noticed two orange lights flying fast in constant formation, one above the other. They were clearly visible for about 5 or 6 seconds just above the motel roof looking south east towards Toowoomba. They were moving with the speed you would normally associate with a jet fighter but there was absolutely no noise. The objects were coming from a northerly direction and moving south. It was a very clear sighting.

The two objects would have been the size of a 5 cent piece held at arms length and disappeared into cloud after being in clear sky. My friend also witnessed the last few seconds before the objects entered the cloud. There was no time to grab a camera and although I scanned the sky with a camera for about 10 minutes afterward, the lights did not return. We agreed the objects could not be birds as they were self luminous and moving very fast before they disappeared into the cloud. They would best be described as an oval shape with a soft orange glow.

The second witness is a highly credible person. He is a leader in his field and has an enviable reputation both in Australia and overseas. Other people must have seen these orange lights and I always wondered if there were more reports.

Perhaps of interest is the time frame was also when Queensland had those massive floods back in early 2011. We only just got out before the really nasty water hit places like Toowoomba and Ipswich.

Fascinating , it gets the brain ticking over doesn't it .

All the questions and no answers . I'd love to know but get the sense that it's not our time to know …...yet .

Hi Rusty
I haven't seen a UFO but was fascinated by your observation of the cubed shaped UFO. I have been thinking about it since I saw your post.
I could not think of a more unusual shape for a space craft. However, I guess this is due to current thoughts regarding technology, as we know it. I was thinking maybe the cubed shaped craft is an interdimensional craft or even a form of time machine/craft.

Hi
Thanks for posting your experiences. While it was not me my nan used to tell me about an experience she had in the WWIIin UK. She was in the womens airforce? Or something similar. One night she was waking back to her room in the dark. There were no lights around. She said suddenly a spot light was over her but she heard no sound. Just silent and a bright light directly over her. She said it followed her for a short amount of time then completely disappeared all the time coming directly from above with no sound. She said she couldn't see where it was coming from just a very very bright light that when she looked up blinded her. She wasn't afraid just kept walking (she told me of various strange stories during the war also).

When I was little (under 10) I remember looking out of my bedroom window at night in UK. The curtains were open and I remember the sky was black and I could see the sky above the council garage and then was blocked by a block of flats on the right. As if from nowhere I saw a ball of flames like the sun appear in the sky slowly move across and disappear behind the flats. I am not sure if I was imagining it but I remember not being able to move or blink and just fixated on it til it disappeared. This was about 30 years ago.

Hey searcher,

I enjoyed reading about your account. Ive seen those orange ovals on several occasions. Theyre pretty interesting. Whats south of dalby in the direction you were looking? Sounds like something was growling out of amberley. Its a pretty useful bit of kit.
