As this is my first post I thought I'd mention a book I've just read which I thought people may be interested in; Borderlands by Mike Dash.
He writes about a variety of different phenomena, and I like the fact that he doesn't try to draw any particular conclusion or push a specific agenda regarding possible explanations. He just reports on the facts, as they were reported, then discusses the various theories that have been advanced to explain the inexplicable. If something can't be explained he acknowledges it, and it's an interesting reference source for information about any number of different theories and famous cases.
He discusses out of place big cats, UFO's, lake monsters, Bigfoot, the whole gamut. I don't agree with all of his opinions, but I do like his style of presentation.
It also inspired me to order two of the books he cites as references, The Terror That Comes in the Night by David J. Hufford and Wondrous Events : Foundations of Religious Belief by James McClenon.
Anyway, the Mike Dash book is extremely interesting and well written so I thought I'd mention it as this seemed like the appropriate part of the forum to do so.

Thanks, Bluedog. I'm sure you'll enjoy the book - it's one of the best books about the paranormal that I've read.
