I have heard stories that the Aboriginals know of the Hairymen around the Ashby/Tullymorgan areas, but rarely speak of it. Haven't heard of anything from the Brooms Head/Sandon area.
The Candole State Forest is close to the 2011 Grafton sighting.
Hope you have some success out there.

Thanks for the reply Dean yes there is a lot of stuff goes on around Tullymorgan/Jackie Bulbin area up past Banana rd and inland from Iluka but the most confronting and memorable for me in the area is still Candoal the forestry backs on to the lower parts of Sandon and Brooms Head .I actually had one pace me in my little Suzuki 4x4 when i was coming out at the Sandon turnoff end ,late afternoon just on dusk it was one of the big blokes that i have mentioned .

I think the entire location is excellent. Surprised we don't receive more reports, however it IS very remote thick scrub in those parts and easy to remain undetected.

Yeah Dean i know what you are saying about down there but what and who is down there that has seen or had experiences with the hairy men down there are mostly retired Sydney grey nomads who keep that sort of stuff to themselves there only interested in changing things to suit themselves and replicate where they used to live in Sydney .I know our local aboriginals have seen hairy men all the time in and around Candoal state forest which runs all the way down past the rose farm towards Coffs .

G day Rod.
Im new to the site and stumbled accross your story.. freaky stuff mate.... But it excites me at the same time lol.
I live in Grafton myself and have lived there for most of my child hood. I would like to think i know the area very well, but have never actually ventured into the Candoal area.
Alot of my friends have had experiences with the "YOWIE" and ive always been intrigued by them. But am yet to have any experience. I would love to take you up on your offer mate. Hopefully we can exchange some info and plan a little trip in.
Cheers for the story... What a ripper.

Hi guy's thanks the interest and your replies just wanted to let you no i am back down south now an am living in Coffs on 100 acres. My research has /kept me busy so far and i am learning more about our hairy folk all the time .I now no the spirituality and the vibes that we give of sets the mood for our interaction with these folk. The bad experiences that researches have had would be very rare and have a reason which i believe has to do with outcast individuals that have been rejected from there family or group the same way we reject our undesirables in our societies across the world.ie criminals ,thugs etc (all animals have done this for centuries)ATM i am trying to go to the next level and communication ,this will come with trust by both ,when it happens i am looking forward to it but time will tell .I am sorry guy's but from here on i have made a promise to keep my research to myself now watch help and guide some interested folks /researchers.This is for the benefit of all .Those of you who get close to these people will understand where i am coming from.

Yowie bait : Mate thanks for your interest and comments before my thoughts on the hissing is that it is a nervous thing /curious type like swaying behind a tree .Mate when i moved into my new place down here our family pod /group hit trees and my partner said it sounded like fire crackers going of in the bush.I think we were being welcomed to the area.We are living with these blokes quite easily.note we have not encountered any rejected rouge males here and i don't believe we will .I am telling you this because i want everyone to no i want no fame or noteriety or to make any money from these folks or profit from them. Unfortunately some folks when researching there subject have forgotten why we started in the first place ,i have said this before these hairy folk are human hybrids and are quite possibly older then our aboriginal first people in Australia.Stay intouch guy's but try looking at these blokes as what they are ,very very bush savvy ,they are part of the bush. They are one.

Hi,
Just wondering if there has been any more activity recorded around this area? This has been my place for 30 years. I was wondering of the impact of the new pacific hwy on the yowies and if they are being pushed towards the coast? Rod did you do more research?
So curious
Thx
