It is a ram... "The louder growl at 7:29 is our ram, "Shaun" lol. He does make some interesting noises. " (comment by poster)

He may look like he's popped up as a new channel, but i believe this is the real deal. Dogs barking, eye shine (although always one eye?)... but he sounds kosher and i doubt someone would post up such real footage without fear of repurcussion. There has to be heaps more of similar accounts across AUS, it's just people arent sharing it as openly as these guys.
If you watch all of his videos there is "some" evidence of activity but unfortunately the fear factor is strong and leading to some assumptions that I would not make.

The footprint found in soft dirt beside the house and the approaches while he and his son were in the shed at night, are certainly good indicators.

The growling sounds recorded - not so much.
Eye shine? Maybe the one in the earlier video (two eyes) that they checked the next day, but the later ones down near the river - probably not.
Why only one eye? Maybe because it is a tree dwelling animal with it's head partly turned. Can you think of any?

The first thing one should do with a weird noise is try to identify it by comparing it to know animals, and in this age there is a lot of material online - so no excuse really.
As far as I can tell the growling is unmistakably a Koala and they are just too afraid to walk down there and check it out to make certain, so it becomes a Yowie.

That is a very unfortunate approach to a site that initially had so much promise as it destroys future credibility.

Oh and I should have said in regard to the growling that it is the other noise that comes and goes in the background, not the RAM that wolf mentioned. You need to boost it a bit.

This is a follow-up chronicle 10 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EkeaUmej3to.
The first thing I noticed was single eyeshine. The inference that the Yowie, if that what it was ducking down, hiding behind bushes, exhibiting just half a face has no basis to it because at
3:44 secs the single eyeshine moves from left to some distance to the right while being filmed and at no time revealing a pair of glowing eyes. So what is it? a one eyed Yowie or animal is anybody's guess but there may be other cryptids out there besides Yowies.

Haha I love your optimism Senses. (claps)

Personally I would go for the obvious first. There are plenty of animals in the bush that have eyes on the side of the head instead of pointing forward.

Eyes on side - herbivore?
Eyes front - meat eater?

That rule probably doesn't work for all though.

Maybe the Yowie was bashful and kept turning it's head in embarrassment. :D

Just throwing this out there regarding the " one eye " maybe because of the spotlight being directly on it , it has one eye shut to help preserve its night vision , we used to do this in the army years ago and it is also the original reason pirates wore a patch over one eye ( to preserve the vision when going between the upper and lower decks ), just a thought
Cheers Greg

This is the first time I've seen eyeshine move from point A to B, usually seen in a motionless position blinking. If anyone knows of other videos please post.
Notice how it does move in a fluid movement, floating almost. This would not be the case for a normal walking action.

Interesting that the guys had that common fear of dread and thinking they should not be there.

Maybe the Yowie had an accident such as run into a branch or lost the eye in a fight over territory or a girl Yowie
They would be very primeval after all ???
