Your wife nailed it allright. Yeah i was not open to any weird stuff . It was all flesh and blood as far as i was concerned. Any spiritual or paranormal infuriated me actually and any encounters different than mine i thought was b.s. . I wouldnt even read the paranormal chapter in the australian yowie book. I think ive learned much more since opening my mind a bit and reading other people's experiences and would even say my mind was forcibly opened by what i experienced myself.

It appears that both you and Dion have had more dealings with the supernatural/paranormal Yowie than most although you could probably add Wellymon, Themanfromglad and others to that list.

This is not surprising because Yowie(Bunyip) and Bigfoot/Sasquatch are traditionally very much based on the folklore not myths of the indigenous peoples of Australia and America where they know they are dealing with mystical beings. Non-indigenous folk are now searching for evidence of these creatures and are now experiencing what the Australian aboriginals and Native Americans and First Nations people have known and lived with for millennia. The more research we do the more we should come to realise that these are not descendants of prehistoric apes or any other prehistoric species but more to do with supernatural origins.

As I've said before that I believe Yowies/Bigfoot are a combination of the physical and paranormal although the physical may not be as we understand it. I don't comply to the Flesh/Blood/Bone theory and unless we can come up with a dead or alive Yowie/Bigfoot in the present era and not some report from a bygone era then I'll stick to my assertions.

We will no doubt continue to seek out these creatures but we must be prepared for some very unpleasant experiences as you yourself Yowieand Dion can verify. The ride is going to become a lot worse as they are here for a purpose and it isn't benevolent.

Hi Senses.I havent been back to the area in question after the last time a few months ago. It was just too weird and i cant trust my judgment sometimes. I believe they will distract you with rock throwing or whatever while they have a good look at you and the feeding and offerings is so strange that i just dont buy that im dealing with humans like some are telling me.

This thing really gets a hold of you and takes over your life. I really have felt like id been possessed or something the whole time ive been going to this one place. I really cant explain it but it really was like i was in another world there for awhile.

I dont think theyre all bad though. I get really good vibes and ferlings at another place i go.

My good mate has exactly the same views as you and is a staunch Christian now. He has had junjudee encounters and used to think they were cool.

I dont think hes had anything bad happen but is convinced they are little monsters now after what he has read from the bible and other encounters.

I wonder if i have bought bad luck to my family and friends from what i have been doing, which is what some Aboriginal lore says as theblackstump has pointed out in another thread.

I was actually reading about this in the emergency room at the hospital one night while sitting with a loved one who was suffering from an unknown medical conditoon. Exactly what i was reading at the time but still scoffed at the idea.

In saying that i cant be sure. Coincidences do happen and eventually i will return to that area to have a visit. Cant help myself!

I have a question for you both:

Do you believe that it is a spiritual phenomenon or physical phenomenon i.e. infrasound?

Hi Slats. I believe there are spiritual type things all over but especially in the bush. If yowies turn out to be spiritual or interdimensional beings that can take solid form i think it would actually make a lot of sense from the reports we have access to.

From what i have read about infrasound, i cant help but wonder if that is what my mate and i experienced when we were screamed/ roared at towards the start of our encounter.

It really did slam into us like a physical force and we just couldnt move during the duration of the scream. The stink didnt bother us, neither did seeing the thing but the roar just paralysed us and seemed to hold us there like a captive audience till it was over and then we bolted as if we were set free.

Maybe it was the fear that held us there but it was very odd indeed. Couldve been a psychic hold as well as Dion mentioned or a bit of both. It really was like being in another world being in close proximity to the big hairy bugger.

The different images in my head as well as the loss of memory from before the incident also makes me wonder if we were zapped.

I also do think I have been zapped a few times more recently. I do get lost occasionaly but sometimes its so weird i really do wonder. I have felt the dread a couple of times and have had to force myself to keep going or into the area of interest i have to crawl into but it was like i was getting blocked out and should have taken heed.

Ive also experienced what i can only describe as feelings of joy and had some very strange animal encounters where theyve acted very out of character.

I could go on but ill just say that if you think youve had a glimpse or sighting when your out and about, dont immediately brush it off as nothing as it could very well be something and your not seeing it right. Hope thats a help!

I will say though that encounter i mention wasnt just from walking in there one time. Id been leaving food and snooping around for around 6 months and sometimes a few hours every day.

The day i saw it was when i was sneaking around what i thought were barricades blocking or warning me away from that area. I guess i was being a bit of a smartass and possibly being warned off but maybe just letting me know it really was there?

Both driving home late at night along secluded roadsides and were trailed for some distance by 3 to 4 red orbs. These two roads were probably only a few kilometres away from each other and neither of my mates would have had any idea of min min lights and both would be very dismissive of any paranormal activity although they are now very much more open-minded.

Yes the last thing we would of been thinking about at the time was min mins and other than reading about them occasionally, i would never have even expected it or ever thought of them. Still the first thing my mate driving said when they crossed was " that must be them (expletive) min min lights". These were yellowey orange ones like baseball or softball sized round light bulbs bobbing along in a peculiar manner.

I should add that I was lucky in many respects because I got to see a Yowie from the comfort of the car.

Others have not been so lucky with the zapping.

I had a similar incident at Jenolan Caves in the Blue Mountains. Unfortunately I did not see anything - but the feeling of being watched and so uncomfortable it was almost ridiculous. The friends I was there with thought I was nuts when I said I feel really uncomfortable. We were having a picnic right on the bush edges near one of the car parks. We were sitting down and it was incredibly awkward....but I did not see anything.
I remember leaving there being so happy to be moving away from that area - this is before my exposure to this community but I always remember that feeling. It was like I was being watched from an unknown vantage point- never felt that way since.

Hi Hillbilly. Yep i understand that yowie researchers need to be very careful about what they say if they want to be taken seriously, even by the other researchers.

Every claim must be backed up with some type of evidence and photographic proof is impossible to come by and usually pointless in the end anyway. Still we are all " crazy" according to the general public and researchers probably moreso. Witnesses can be excused a bit ( maybe!) for their claims as mistaken identity, mass hysteria etc etc but dedicating your life to yowie research while neglecting your family and alienating your friends and associates is a big ask and could be construed as a type of insanity or psychosis in itself. Especially as results are usually non existant.

I can make claims because i am NOT a researcher. It felt good sharing that encounter and the other stuff. Nice to get it off my chest. Whether any one takes it seriously or not is up to them.

As for the racist thing. I think its obvious i was using extreme examples to make a point. Definetely not directed at you or anyone else on the forum and your "crazy people" comment is exactly what i was reffering to.

I dont take every dreamtime story seriously either. Most is up for interpretation, much like all religions but if an aboriginal or even a landowner from the outback tells me something about the subject then im much more inclined to believe them as opposed to an armchair or weekend field researcher who has a closed minded agenda and lives in the city .

I follow three aussie researchers. Yowiedan, Dave and Rusty. I enjoy Brindabella yowie research too but he doesnt upload much anymore. All put in the hard work and dont make ridiculous claims which i appreciate so when they do get something, we know its the real deal.

Yes Dean, i saw the video a few months ago. Quite interesting. I had actually missed or not registered that he actually saw the whole creature. He only seems to mention it once although i think he may allude to that elsewhere in the vid. The 'not wanting to be seen' behaviour reminds me of the yowie that jumped car headlights backwards (Wentworth Falls).

Thanks for the reply Hillbilly. I'm at work at the moment. My car broke down so i had a bit of time yesterday to post on the forum and i think i did well to reply to everyone yesterday after work as i was quite heat affected and try to avoid posting in that state. Im even worse today, making up for lost time and my right leg was shaking so bad earlier i could barely stay on the ladder.

My nicotine patch is slipping off from the sweat as well so not having a good day in this hot house with no electricity. I only tell you this so you dont think im ignorong you if i dont reply for a bit.

I didnt word the dreamtime comment well. I shouldve said that i dont understand a lot of them and im sure others feel the same. If thats racist then i didnt mean it to be so my apologies if it sounded racist or hypocritical.

As for being a researcher. I gave it a go but i found it a pain in the ass. I suppose technically i am a researcher as i go out and look for signs and have a feeding station etc but i dont collect evidence or even take photographs anymore and i think by calling myself a researcher is insulting to the guys putting in the hard yards and collecting evidence which is rare as hens teeth and very difficult to substantiate as we all know. Maybe im misguided but in my own way i think thats showing respect to them.

Where do i stand on the subject?As confused as anyone else involved in this frustrating subject! Im trying to find out things for myself without subscribing to any particular theories or others views.

I apologise if ive offended you or anyone else with my comments. Im not making claims. What i have described in my posts is my interpretations of what i have experienced. I basically keep (most) things to myself and believe it or not, have found out just a tiny little bit about our hairy friends, some of which i dont think anyone else has experienced yet.
