In the meantime, while there are plenty of different ghillie suits on the market, I've noticed from photos, the persons head sticks up a lot more, and people aren't as wide. Besides, what would a person have to be wearing around his eyes to achieve that effect?

Thankyou, I wantobelieve, that's exactly the image I was trying to remember when I saw the second side view image. That's a pretty uncanny resemblance, you have to admit.

The figure doesn't look overly tall, probably within average human height range.

The rocks on the road look the average size you'd expect on such a road.

Without knowing the height of the camera, or distance away, it's hard to tell. I'd be leaning towards at least a 4wd dashboard height up to a prime mover. A standard car to me, seems way too low.

I would very much doubt that an indigenous aboriginal would fake something like this as they take their culture very seriously, most do anyway. It would be quite disrespectful to make fun at others expense through this culture. IMO.

One image seems to show, whatever it is, bent almost doubled over to the ground with its body facing across the road and its head down low and turned toward the camera, sort of like it’s looking over its shoulder with its arm hanging straight down. This is why it looks so short.

I’m guessing the two dark patches are where the eyes would be and even though they’re not reflective in the image, it does seem to be consistent with some witness reports that describe big black eyes.

There also appears to be a right arm which is obscuring most of the left leg, apart from the foot/ankle, which can be seen at the bottom of the arm.

If you imagine it then standing up, the position of the light coloured patches seem to be consistent with the upright image.

When looking at the upright image you’d have to think those road corrugations are 10-12 inches across which would have to put its height at around the 6 foot range.

It’s also worth noting that Katrina Tucker at first thought she was looking at a bear and when you look at the bent-over image it’s easy to see why, particularly because the legs are so thick and shapeless.

I suppose someone wearing at ghille suit over the top of a backpack/camelback might create the type of profile shown in the upright image but you’d probably expect to see a sharper outline where the boots would be.

Also, it’s too bloody hot up here for locals to bother purchasing and using a ghille suit. Pigs aren’t that hard to hunt and we don’t have flighty animals like deer so ghille suits are pretty much a novelty.

It’s possible some army lads or southern tourists were out having some fun but it does seem unlikely in this region. Probably just a good way to get yourself shot. Not ruling it out and Occam’s Razor would suggest it’s probably the most likely explanation.

Anyway, that’s my two cents worth but in any case it’s a very interesting photo.

Also, when looking through the I Am Aboriginal Facebook page they had a write-up on the Uki report along with a video of a dog engaging with some sort of huge wolf looking animal. Worth checking out.
