I believe Dean Harrison is the owner of this forum. so unless I hear something from him - I will be inclined to do as I like. I think the titles I put to my posts reflect the facts I present for example: "footprint". I simply called it what it is along with facts I observe. and asking a person to give an example of the roo rests that they talk about shouldn't be a problem. it's others who are taking matters out of context and creating the so called "drama". also with this post's title - I don't recall the word hairy. yowie. etc even being mentioned. I present interesting photos and realistic facts which are backed up with measurements and the like.

If a researcher is approached online with requests for permission regarding simple circumstantial evidence, then I would assume that someone has a book going together, and will offer the researcher a mention in that book, while they sell and collect cash from the next yowie book.
Some flat grass and a missing bucket is not hard evidence. It needs to be investigated. But not "assumed to be"......
To any "sensitive" researchers, I would suggest that you take off the tiara and focus on hard evidence and not being offensive.
By stating that one is "not here to make friends", it is straight away saying that you have little respect for the other site users.
Anyway, I am picking up some narcissism, which I am allergic to, so I should go and wash.

MissN4mer, I don't seek fame. I am not needy in that department. I don't/ wont post pictures of anything that is not hard facts. Why? because for over 13 years I have witnessed some amazing stories and images here. Many are believable, some are sus, and some make me laugh..a lot. Most times I read, check the pics, and keep quiet.

I have been reluctant to post on your threads misdm4mi because you are very aggressive when challenged and you seem to post photos that are not yowie related in the general discussion forum when perhaps the controversial area would be more suited to your photos.

As as been suggested to you I also think your flattened grass is created by resting kangaroos. You will discover much about the bush If you are going to persue this.

I once instantly BELIEVED that I had recorded a yowie screaming on a still night in the remote wilderness near Canberra. I uploaded it here. https://m.soundcloud.com/bunyip-rider/yowie-screams and somewhere years ago probably posted it here and there thinking I had captured the Australian equivalent of the US Sierra Sounds. I sent the recording to Gary Opit, an expert in Australian fauna noises, who immediately confirmed I had recorded a fox.

Many on this forum spend much time in the bush. Many in their past have spent much time in the bush. Personally when I grew up and into early adulthood that is all you had was the bush. Your not alone in walking in the bush. I would be more concerned with warning you of your safety if you are researching alone in an active area.

I am one of those researchers that believe they are everywhere there is remnant habitat for them. And, as we are learning here in other posts, from the encroachment of suburbia into that habitat. Expansion stopped 30 years ago where I live and the rest is National Park. If they could clear fell the Brindabellas for suburban expansion AYR would be getting reports every day.

I do hope you hang around and publish your research but please don't turn simple disagreement into having foes that deserve contempt here. Better to agree to disagree and leave it at that.

I suspect this is a part of the problem. A simple lack of (bush) experience.

On that, I spent a few hours off piste in the forest yesterday, and made a point of mentally noting how many 'signs' I could attribute to Yowie .. but which were all actually very ordinary and prosaic things. There were MANY. If I'd not known what each meant, down to the smallest earth disturbance, AND had a foregone conclusion that Yowie exists, and exists right there, I'd have come away thinking I'd hit the jackpot.
