I believe the woman is genuine in that she believes that, but I just cannot see how it is possible, Cheetahs are built for speed, run at about 110kmh (iirc) but can only manage short bursts and then almost melt down and take ages to recover.
The obvious answer is that she simply misjudged her speed due to the shock of the incident, maybe she was in a lower gear and mistook the revving engine as meaning the high speed that those revs would mean at a higher gear.

Hi Roy,
This is not the only account of these creatures reaching scientifically unobtainable speeds on this forum there are many. Some reports of these beings travelling at the speed of light but can't talk about the paranormal aspect here however the definitive word is scientifical.
Perhaps and maybes are just as refutable as disbelief of the story.

Wow what a story;
One thing that stood out in my mind is how hairy the Yowie was reported to be. It was summer so it struck me as odd for any creature to
have full length hair. Also, how many trucks drive through that road every day? only a matter of time before we see dash cam footage!
As for its speed, I am find it hard to hold onto the flesh & blood theory!
