This image has been haunting my memory ever since I saw it years ago but I could never find it again.
Found it on a youtube doco... anyone know the story behind it perchance?

I dunno. Maybe a movie? Its very impressive but the right arm is a bit weird.

I think it's called the Wild Creek Bigfoot and I think many think it is a hoax. I think it's an interesting photo, too.

Intriguing pictures - I hadn't seen those before.

There's no way of knowing whether or not they're fake, and I'm certainly no expert, but if they're real those are the best photos I've ever seen.

I thought they were very interesting photos-but like so many other captures, they had been labeled a hoax. I think they could be real. Once 'someone' labels something a hoax it's easily dismissed. I've seen quite a few photos and videos that people labeled a hoax and I thought otherwise. If people still claim the PG film and Freeman footage are hoaxes what hope is there?

"They (Type 4s) are not common even as Bigfoot sightings go, which could be because there are few of them around, especially the Genoskwa. On the other hand, it could be that as apex carnivorous predators, they are so good at their job that the only people who ever get to see them do not get to report it. It takes a living witness to make an encounter report."

Wouldn't like to run into that one…..that's one scary looking whatever the hell it is.

Hi Paul. Any more pics of that object in the photo? Whats the back story?

I'm trying not call pareidolia on this. A few more pics that show the object was moving would go a long way in illistrating it wasn't just tree stump etc.

Taken whilst filming at Lake Maroon in QLD this year.

I can't say it's not paradolia until I get a chance to make a return trip.

Still giving the lake time for the water level to drop after the rain we received in the wake of cyclone Debbie further up north.

I just find the proportion and (assumed) muscle structure very interesting.

And that Genowska image stopped me dead for a minute....CREEPY AZZZ

The whole Genoskwa description kind of reminds me of H.G Well's notion of "Morlocks"
Human beings that moved into underground shelters amidst an apocalypse and whom eventually evolve into a divergent cannibal species
that feed on the docile surface dwelling Eloi whom themselves have become cattle to the Morlocks.

Wells was a member of a secret society...."The Golden Dawn"... I think? Which was Allister Crowly's mob.
Another reputed member was Bram Stoker of Dracula fame, and we all know that he based the character on Vlad Tepis or Vlad the impaler.
I wonder if Well's Morlock's had a similar shredd of truth to them as well (no pun intended)?

What made you focus on that particular spot? Was there anything else happening at the time that you might associate with a Yowie encounter?

Or is this something you saw afterwards while reviewing random footage of bush?

This is a good one and similar to a lot of wiitness sketches.I posted the blurb as it explains it and gives the appropriate credits.

What made you focus on that particular spot? Was there anything else happening at the time that you might associate with a Yowie encounter?

At the time I thought I had heard some ducks on the far embankment and set on maxed out zoom, tried to get a blind shot of them...in high sun a flip out LCD screen is no easier to see clearly due to glare refraction than a reflective mobile phone screen in strong sunlight. And yes you are correct and as is often the case (in my case lol) I didn't notice much at all out of the blurry ordinary, until I had a couple of hours to kill. At which time Ill track through hours of cam footage. I don't go anywhere without my dated but trusty handy cam... I don't enjoy taking (only a personal thing and not a judgment of the merits of) phone acquired images and footage and prefer to use something designed by a specialist with a particular use in mind. Pretty old school I know but to me a phone is a good phone and a camera is a good camera.

Most of the " probably paradolia but visually interesting" things I notice after the fact, are only recorded because, if I'm in the countryside and out of the vehicle the camera is on the closest treeline no matter what else is going on. I just pan the camera mindlessly after the basic location scenery is recorded.

Most of the complaints I hear about concern footage I post that's just shaky as hell and well over recommended zoom settings shot with no tripod.
I now have a tripod in the boot of my vehicle and either forget to use it or find it (as light as it is) cumbersome moving through scrub with it.

And I admit it I'm just a s#@t camera man lol... no visual composition talent here I assure you.

I'm just an excitable big kid that likes to share his lousy bush walks and badly filmed country tourist excursions with whom ever will take the time to view them.
A bit like the boring old slide nights at my great grans place that my relies used to drag us kids off too every so often.

If there's any genuine reason why I post overly lengthy video's (and probably too many of them) it's my rational that if by chance I stumble onto or luck out and actualy film
one of the big fellas in a visually hard to dispute fashion (yeah fat chance I know) Ill have a history on record of deliberately trying to achieve just that aim . Which will either promote examination and debate of the subject matter or alternatively have me branded as a hoaxer that's been setting it all up for years .... can only please some of the people...ect... ect

Sorry for yet another long winded ranty answer to an as usual quite simple set of questions.

At the end of the day I love doing this....Id be running around in the green today even if the Yowie debate didn't exist.
Iv'e been stuck in the economic concrete jungle of Sydney, earning my daily bread almost constantly since my discharge from the army well over a decade ago.

I never really grew into my imposed city slicker shoes, so now that I've taken the first steps towards a major tree change I wont be taking the ol king kongs off for a while.

In truth if I had it all my way I'd go full on hermit . But friends, family, responsibility blah blah blah....one day.

I always thought the Temagami/Jeane Hiebert photos were interesting-of course, some say those are hoaxed. I had found another unrelated photo of a shoulder/arm partially obscured by a pine branch and the hair looked to be very similar. Google image search has changed-they once had a huge amount of information and now most of those photos are gone. I do find it a bit tiresome, seems like almost every photo is called out as a hoax-I try to decide for myself.

Speck that's an amazing image. I'd like it to be the real deal, but who can say for certain? It's so very easy to fake things now, especially a still image, it's impossible to know...but that's an impressive image for sure.

I wonder if one of the reasons they're so often photographed from the side is because they deliberately move past human beings - or areas where they know humans are - in a particular manner? Do they position themselves in a certain way so as to be able to move away at a certain angle if seen? It seems like a reasonable thing to do.

Nice one, Wolf, the wild Creek Bigfoot photos are photos of nothing more than some tool's model figurine placed in the water. You can tell by the size of the blades of grass beside it. It's a little model figurine with hair glued on for effect. Not even my grandmother would fall for this charade.

Yeah, I thought that too when I first saw the image years ago.
But now, I am not so sure. My wolfhound's fur looks very similar to that when he's been playing around in the creek. And I have seen blades of grass much bigger than that in our own creeks and gullies here in 'straya.

I guess it is yet another one of those images one sees then wishes to be able to visit the location or at least get follow up shots of the same location and surrounds.
