Hope this works, have never posted a pic before...
Here's my attempt, folks. Background photo was taken last year up at Bulli Pass, near Woolloongong, and I always thought it was a bit creepy with all the fog about... I tweaked a couple of source pics to get the Yowie. This is the large version - the 185x60 version is below it, if that makes a difference.
Am loving the art that has gone before - WOW!

...hey YL1... Seeker... thanks guys... the eyes are... (as somebody once said)...
"the windows to the soul" ... as I see it... if you get the eyes right... that's the hardest part done with ... the rest is easier I have always found...
...hey Shazzoir... nice entry... I love the misty background... great photo!...you're certainly right about the
"creepy" feeling about the mist... the photo captures it very well... and welcome to the AYR Forums... have fun and enjoy posting like the rest of us... you can post as many versions as you like so keep them coming... they are great to see

... cheers... Stickyfingers.

lol...I like it because it scares me
It would spark interest on the back of a car and small kids would probably scream
Though only one picture can win the comp, there are many pictures here that can be used in other areas of the new revamped website...I have no problem with this image being used somewhere else.

Awesome YL1
Scary is good.

It took me a while to work out what "minor changes" you made to it.
There's the next competition I think.

I love the work you do on hair Sticky. I was wondering how you do that. I would like to do work on the hair of my yowie but as yet am unable to find the right tool to add to it.

...thanks YL1... I did the whole
"Yowie" sketch with first... a program called...
"Corel Painter Essentials 3" ...and used an...
"oils opaque round" ...paintbrush on a 3.1 setting... if you don't have this program... what I just told you may as well have been written in
Swahili

... it's a great program... (I had it given to me as a birthday present with a Wacom Bamboo writing tablet... by my stepchildren... man am I spoilt)

... you can use pastels/Oils/Watercolours etc etc ... I then did some clean up work with Photoshop 7... I know that the answer that Iv'e given you doesn't do your question any justice... but I'm not sure what else I can tell you my friend to explain any further

... sorry mate... cheers... Stickyfingers.
