This Picture was taken in the Wollomi National Park Zig Zag through to the glow Worm Tunnel is the route i take i have been down most tracks there but when i found the tree freshly stripped of its bark it caught my eye instantly take a look for your self. From my observations i noticed the age of the tree being not that old 10-20 years the condition of the the tree was perfect no sign of sickness in anyway perfect health. the bark was pretty thick and ripped in to what i think hand size pieces. I think that is was so fresh i missed them by hours there was no lightning strike burns which i quickly ruled out. Also i noticed the long sticks lying down around the tree visible in the Pic.
Summer o6 condition was sunny with storm forming mid section of tree

Hey robb
What sort of camera are you using some of the pics are a little blurry. That last picture looks interesting something has definitely had a go at that tree.
Anyways keep up the good work

Rather un professional Chewy i used the camera on my mobile Phone as i really go into the strub with my dog 4 a hunt or just to find a good new spot but nearly also run into something interesting anyway did you spot the bit of bark in the branches by tree. the tree was at least 7-10ft. tall also the sizes of the bark ripped but still attached at the base of the tree hand size pieces the bark was at least a few inches thick no toll marks were present i ruled out any human doing just by the look of it
