I'm always intruigued by stories of the little hairy man. Aboriginal friends of mine speak of them quite often....They take me camping at a place called "Junjadee Mountain". The report sounds familiar though....is it taken from Cropper & Healy's book?

Thanks Stainmaster.

Yeah, i talk alot to Aboriginal groups in the topend, on occasions when i can get around to the subject of Yowies, they talk ( guardly) about our little hairy mates in a matter of fact way, as you would expect different language groups give it different names. Over in east Arnhem land it is called Brungigit ( brung-gi-jit ), they describe it as not to be trusted, that the Abor/s had big wars with them long long time ago and that they can make you scared from a long way away, they live in isolated gorges and heavily forested coastal areas and that they get angry when people put up huts or buildings, i find it very interesting that many different indigeneous groups up here tell the same story.

cheers
