Eden area

Pasta Baz' last post in his discussions with elders at Eden caught my interest here.

Whilst fishing up the Genoa River near Mallacoota we were fishing from the tinny pulled up into some tall reeds. We were spooked by a feeling of being watched and hearing slow crunching footsteps like something slowing repositioning itself for a better look in the reeds behind us. We took off straight away. In a later trip to the same area a friend sighted a black cat running up the hill.

Not for from there on another trip fishing the upper areas at Lake Wonboyne I tied the tinny up to a log on the bank and took a short stroll into light bush but wa startled by loud noises of crashing trees and breaking branches. Couldnt see anything but it continued for 5 mins or so. I had 2 kids in the boat so left.

I have no doubt there is activity in this area and would be interested in any other stories.

I'm passing thru the area in a few months and was hoping to stop in at Lake Wonboyn overnight, now i'm really keen
