Seems to me mbwmbwmbw, you probably should have just said "I dont know" There are stills, check the eyeshine of my avatar, thats actually from a real photo Dean took, also there is on this site a distant shot of a Ormeau Yowie going up through a clearing on a hill that Dean took i believe.mbwmbwmbw wrote:1. has anyone seen or seen a pic/vid of a baby yowie
There is a still frame from a game camera that captured what appeared to be the eye shine of a large (upright?)animal..other than that..there is no video stills of yowies in any shape or form..
2. is there any in Tasmania.
Are there reports..probably a few
3. do they harm humans
err..no
4. what do they eat
they are herbivores..yet live in veritable green "deserts" like the blue mts...or they are carnivores...and leave no kill sites/predation remains and dont appear to have had any form of impact anywhere in Australia on any wallaby numbers..
flip a coin..![]()
5. has any one seen a trail, droppings or hair from a yowie
possible trails..might have been human...possible droppings..which were never tested anyway..
Mate I dont care who took the photo, I read about it ages ago and remembered it wrong, you seemed very adamant that no pictures exist apart from a still from a game camera and I replied with 2 examples. I really dont care who took it or where you live....foot out.mbwmbwmbw wrote:Seems to me mbwmbwmbw, you probably should have just said "I dont know" There are stills, check the eyeshine of my avatar, thats actually from a real photo Dean took

The red eye photo was taken by Neil Frost who lives around the corner from me.
They are quite obviously omnivores. Read the reports, some have been observed eating in fields of planted crops, eating berries, snatching meat from camps, picking up roadkill - did you read any of that?
Gee yeah...The question is..have you actually done much besides read a "few reports".
LOL
Because if its in a "report"..then it must be 100% real and simple and easy to understand..how crazy of me..
Your "Err No" response to that question if believed, would create a complacency in the presence of a 12 foot biped that could end with a life lost.
Oh please..you have been reading too many adventure magazines..
The question was'do they harm humans'.Can you actually read.?
Show me the proof of them harming humans then...you must have something..?????
I suggest having some genuine knowledge and experience before answering questions in the future.
Yep...my lack of 'genuine knowledge' and 'experience' sure made it hard for me to rip into your dopey post..
Looking forward to you telling us all here about your 'considerable genuine knowledge and experience'.
let me get this right..you have run around with a backpack on with cammo gear for a few months...read a book?/read a few web pages... made a few posts here...and now you are trying to be patronising and lecturing people here..... bloody hilarious stuff![]()
Surely there was more than 2 photos in this sequence... i'd like to see the rest of the collection...Yowielover1 wrote: It would be interesting for the non believers to see the before photo of this without the strolling yowie.
You have stated Neil Frost took these eyeshine pictures, what a joke. The only eyeshine pictures he has is a possum in a tree. How many witnesses have you spoken to over the years who have had weird experiences.????
How many edible plants do you actually think could support a large omnivore especially in the blue mts..have you been here, do you know anything about the ecology of this area.
Show me all the kill photos of any macropods....from anywhere in Australia in the last 50 years..that you think were done by yowies...or any animal for that matter..use your vast knowledge/data base/witness reports etc for this..I am looking forward to seeing your evidence from your "reports"..

Yes I am aware who you are. Would prefer you used your real name, however that is only my opinion, and for some reason not many people seem to be honest and transparent for some strange reason. Right now, I'm a little disappointed about some of the recent posts from contributors on this Forum, therefore I prefer to step away and let people sort their issues out themselves. I don't enjoy Politics...... Especially if I know all parties involved. By gosh, if only these people met each other, it would be a far different story.
We've had it good for a long time compared to other boards.
Everyone’s opinions are valued. If there is a debate, why get personal? Keep all things equal, and leave emotions out of the equation.
Not everyone has the same point of view. Not everyone has the same experience in the field.
By all means – discuss it. But please don’t throw stones and use words that can be considered personal attacks.
