Just had a idea (i know my head hurts now) what do think of going the next level with the posts by making our own SKYPE type forum so everyone could actuly speak to each other on say certaine nights of the week or maybe weekends that would be awsome to actuly talk to each other for an hour or so. But this is Deans site so what do you think Dean could that be possible thing to do down the track mate..

P.S I have been on a few skype sites they seem to work just fine with a large number of people...

I have the skype set i talk to a lot of people in America. It's a simple program to down load, and any type of mic that can plug into your sound card, and your away as easy as that....

Strange2 gets on Skype, he has a good time. He lose track of time. He wakes up in black hole, wondering what happened the night before. Luckily someone had record the evening just in incase Strange2 didn't remember...mental note listen to Sticky.

Im all for a skype chatroom used them pleanty of times in the past and have no issues with it

You young whippersnappers! This "Skype" of which you speak sounds fantastic.

I'm in, as long as someone will post details of where to get a suitable mike and lead us through the setup.

It will be interesting to put the names to the voices - I hope Lasso has the time to help us out if this idea goes ahead. I know time is precious to most of us who have humdrum working lives.

HI Shazz it's not hard at all to install a Mic for your computer. The Mic can be picked up at any Dick Smith or Tandy store or for that matter any Computer stores near you.
Once Obtained to install mic dead simple Look at the back of your computer you will see a little hole to put the mic plug into it should have a MIC Emblem right next to the hole Shazz.

After doing that depending on your windows you have installed XP or Vista go into Startup and look for Contrl Panel click on that and then look for sounds,speech,and audio devices click on that and look for voice up on the top of the panel click on that you will see Test Sound Hardwear click on that and follow the prompts. Once thats installed go to www.skype.com and download the free softwear it's as simple as that. Guys if i have missed something out please fill in the gaps..It will be good to hear your voice Shazz...

Thanks, Bushbaby, it sounds easy peasy, and guess what? I'll be off to Dick Smiths on the weekend! I have friends who use Skype, so even if our Skype room doesn't eventuate, it won't be wasted, I guess.

I know what you mean by exciting times ahead for this site. With all the other things Dean & Lasso has instored it should be fantastic and if Skype gets under way it would put the iceing on the cake so to speak....

Sound like you all keen want to do this then.
You will all need skpe on your computer, so if you have not got it already go to then download it from

http://www.skype.com/intl/en/

Then you all need to have a head set that has a mic attached to your computer. When you install skype there is a way of doing a test phone call so you can make sure that everything is working.

After you have done this PM me you skype address so I can locate you all. I will let everyone that wants to be involved their skype addresses......then we can work out how to connect everyone.

Might have a few test rounds first to make sure all is working, then we can make a time that suits everyone.

Thanks, Lasso, will do! I hope this is as good as we think it will be - unfortunately, my man will probably rib me mercilessly (more than usual, that is, LOL) as I told him I had to buy a headset mic so I could talk with the Yowie mob.
