The problem is i dont have a decent sound track on the howls and calls of the bigfoot, mine only go for a few seconds hardly long enough to give a decent call out. gday bb
a few good ones for sound bites are
http://www.stancourtney.com
http://www.oregonbigfoot.com and
http://www.bfro.net
have fun, make sure you keep the light on and shut the blinds, some of these will scare the c**p out of ya, that samuri type chatter as in 'sierra growl' sends a shiver up my spine every time, eery!

Wouldn't know how to record it, BB, but there is a streaming sound file here:
http://www.ghostradiox.com/people_gary_opit.asp. Not a bad listen to Gary, as well.

Hi Bush Baby
For a start - I love your Avatar. Where did you get that one from?
I have made up an emulation of a yowie call that was directed at me some years ago from about 20 feet away. I compiled it from a series of Koala bellows, but the actual sound was much deeper and gutteral and much louder.
The Link is
http://uqconnect.net/~zzpclach/Emulated ... %20MP3.mp3
Or go to
http://uqconnect.net/~zzpclach/index.htm then go to
http://uqconnect.net/~zzpclach/stories.html then go to
http://uqconnect.net/~zzpclach/yowie2.htm and then scroll to the bottom of the page

Hey Big Cats,
Bush Baby: I hope you don't mind me revealing the source of your wonderful avatar: it's from OregonBigfoot.com. go here and you can probably download the pics of BB's and other Bigfoot renderings, though it might be a nice thought to email the website and ask permission first - artists love to be told their work is appreciated.

Kind regards,

im no audio freak or anything, but i reckon a recording of a bf played over a soundsystem would have little impact, i just think anything less than a massive system with huge woofers would not carry the enormous sound waves that these animals are said to use to carry their calls for miles.
ive read ( and tried myself with my dogs) that dogs dont usually here or at least recognise the calls played on the computer, but on a couple occassions dogs that have heard the recorded sounds without reaction, have heard live calls and had major reactions.
out of all the ones my dogs have listened to they only reacted to a wolf call funny enough.
saying that, i think it is still worth a try, if they are close enough, they will hear.
one thing i havent read of is broardcasting samuri chatter, which i think would be very interesting, although i would not stand anywhere near the sound device as we dont know what is said in the samuri chatter, it could be a challenge to a big male or some sledging about his hairy back misses.
either way, have an awesome time out there bb, and learn lots from your experience, so you can share with us all.

Hey guys, are you going to play different types of audio or just bigfoot recordings?
I have heard of many things that attract bigfoots/yowies.
Sounds from gorillas and chimpanzees, crying babies, certain singers or bands, etc...
Also, are you sure of the meaning of the recordings you are playing?
Are you telling the yowies that you want to fight them or marry them???

Thanks guys for the input, i wasent thinking on any other sound types but now you mention it. That could work quite well i will download various animal sound tracks and give them a go.
Your quite right in saying different sounds or calls could very well mean different meanings, RANDY Yowie im not keen on that one HOW would i explain it to the wife lol.........
and yes we will be standing right back from the calls i dont think we would have much of a chance with a irate bigguy who we just called his missus hairy back..

i carry with me a animal distress call, which i blow through and can get a variety of different sounds from a dieing rabbit to deer calls but as of yet i havent had a response, but i have read of quite a few hunters who have used them to lure in their prey only to suck a big guy in, so i reckon ill persist, i know it makes my dogs raviness.
worth adding to ya yowie armery, and they are cheap as on ebay
