orbs are they just dust particles?

I was reading that a vast majority of orbs is in fact moisture or dust on the lens, due to the very fast speed of the digital cameras now.

They are able to pick up tiny particles in the air when the old cameras could not.

This could be infact true in some cases.

Majority of them are due to dust , moisture and glare but not all. My experience with this type of over the years has led me to believe that the same sort of anomaly that dust and moisture cause with a camera is also caused from spirits too. IN what way, I am not sure but feel that it has to do with maybe a poinpoint of bright light that may last a split of a second but the camera picks up and which causes some sort of orb. I dont think the actual round anomaly is the spirit but I think that there is somethign within that anomaly that they eye doesnt always pick up. Personally , I have seen these poinpoints of brilliant light, on investigations in very haunted locations that my team has seen also.

There are too many photos of these orbs captured and behaving intelligently and posing in photos with people when asked. I have photos myself like this.
Also , for a speck of dust or moisture to show up as an orb it has to be a certain distance to the lens.Fairly close. I have seen orbs in photos where the orb was over the other side of a room, obscured behind something which meant you could not blame it on dust or moisture.

The faces that people describe in soem orbs are not you smiley faces. That is paradolia. The faces are very clear faces with detail. I have some of them myself.

This is an example of that sort of thing. This photo was taken in Maitland Gaol not so long back and is the face of a little girl that I have captured a few times on audio,

The problem is that there are too many people around now saying every orb is a spirit which isnt true. I have done my fair share of experiments in regard to creating orbs.

I have quite a few orb photos where I claim the orb is a spirit because of the interaction and the way the orb has been present, appearing the same on different investigations, following particular people, same orbs taken with different cameras at the same time and also ones taken years apart on digital and 35mm. The arguement that only digitals produce these anomalies doesnt stand either as I have orbs on film photos too.

Its an debate I just dont get into now because its a no win situation for both sides.

Thank you for your input Tracey. This subject is very new for me but I do believe that not all orbs are dust particles.

Can you tell me some more about your history? You seem to have had a lot of experience with the paranormal and I am very keen to hear more about your research.

Which location do you visited for your research?
What equipment do you use if any?

If possible maybe some of our crew can come with you to one of your locations or perhaps you can come with us to one of our locations in QLD.

I agree with you Tracey..

Here are some examples of a test we ran years ago..first shot was with a digital camera the second shot with film with my fat head stepping into it(nice bowl hair cut (no no) )was taken about 1/4 of a second after the first.
Pretty simple to do..and fairly revealing..
Digital cameras "capture" images using ccd`s.
A CCD (charge coupled device)is brilliant for capturing small points of light and amplifying them, thats why the majority of "'orbs" miraculously, are found with digital cameras and not film.
Also why CCD cameras ar used for astronomy photos.
Its a mystery who most prosaic photos are thought to be a mystery.. (woot)

Hi Tracey & Mike

I completely agree with you both.

I have found that intent and the photographer’s spiritual placement is ultimately important in the outcomes of digital photographic images. Sorry guys to throw in this confounding variable.

I believe it is not just the camera or the inherent dust particles in the air.

Try this experiment yourselves. Go into your own back yard at night and take a digital photograph. In fact take several.

Then clear your mind, and then mentally make yourself one with the universe, set your intent at just unconditional love, mentally call in any spirits and then start taking more digital images. Remember your thoughts have to be pure.

Let me know how you go.

You can pretty much know you have a real spirit captured on the camera if the Orb is moving. This will be very clear.

This is how I do it and I get some fantastic results.

Hi Mike

The other week I was going through some of my old film shots, and I do recall seeing in at least one shot an Orb. A true Orb.

Now, if anyone has A Samuari DVD (The Old B&W TV Series), in the intro an Orb can CLEARLY be seen moving form left of field accross the screen. It's a classic.

Hi BigCats, by The Samurai, do you mean Shintaro? (He of the backward somersaulting onto the roof ninja movements). :)

There seem to be a lot of flecks on that film, which one do you consider to be the orb?

[Edit] I am guessing the DVD release is of a lot higher quality video production than the Youtube video, and details of phenomenon such as orbs, etc, can be ascertained with more certainty. :) [/Edit]

I have that Lenore Sweet book. I have 500 million books lolll

Lasso..........have been investigating for a few years now . My team now consists of only 5 of us and we are all really good friends. Amongst us we have a doctor, nurse, 2 medical receptionists and a trackwork rider. We have most of the usual equipment but you know, we get more results from using our own senses. We investigate scientificaly but spiritually.

A few years ago we experienced some ghost activity that went on for 2 years adn that is what changed all of us. We learnt things about the spiritworld that changed our way of thinking and our investigating methods.

I spent some time making a post tonight with some footage of things we experienced but got near the end and accidently pressed something on the keyboard and bye bye post (curse)
I lost it and thought stuff it...I wll try again later. I will get around to posting that again though.

This weekend we are off to st albans. Its a sandstone courthouse in st albans nsw and we dont know if anything is in it or not but will soon find out. we have the whole courthouse to ourselves as it is turned into a b & b now but it is not the main house. The gaol cells hold the bathroom now and the prisoner exercise yard is the bbq courthyard in the middle. Shoudl be fun and have will be checking out some ruins of a church and graveyards too. We are takign lots of nice munchies and have a drink later.

We have never investigated QLD but my sister and I did go down specifically to port arthur. I found port arthur to be very quiet in fact. The problem we have now is we are running out of places to investigate. We woudl like to be able to do private residences but dont get any. Quarantine station is a very haunted place but we cant get in there now without going on one of the public tours and that sucks. Cant get access to Berrima courthouse anymore. We can do maitland gaol on our own. That is why I tried this courthouse in st albans.I am forever trying to find places lol. Australia just doesnt have enough haunted places...

...........thats why I planning to go to Ireland maybe next year with one of the team members. Saving now. (claps)

Zoo...........just have to tell you that my son has almost finished his Gillie suit (is that what its called in your avatar) My son is 13 and made his own by studying the net and his looks just as good as that one. He has frightened the c**p out of me a few times with it. He has matched it to the bush and grassa round our area. He used proper jute and dyed parts with food colouring etc and coffee.

Thank Tracey for your info...sounds all very interesting. I didn’t think of the fact that you can’t get into a lot of places, who wants to go on a public tours that’s no fun!

What is the scariest place you have visited? And what was the event that changed everyone in your teams thoughts on the spirit world....would like to know more about this.

I have done the same thing will the post, deleting after writing so much. I now type my posts in word and then copy and paste it over.

Let us know how you weekend turns out. I hope you get some activity.

As for your son’s suit, well done to him!!! Would love to see a pic of it! (claps hands)

Dean has this material that is so cool we thought of making a waterproof suit form it so you don’t get wet.
