Myself and the Lasso are considering heading over to Ohio towards the end of next April to attend Don's BF conference. Tony went last year and recommends it, plus there are a bunch of Researchers that I/we know and have known for years that go each year. The attendance was well over 400 this year and sounded like a lot of fun.
If anyone would like to join us (providing the confirmed dates suit and we're not stuck in another Country at the time, which sometimes happens), best start saving you spare change now. Should be a lot of fun. Don is getting back to me to confirm dates as soon as he can.

Re: Don Keatings BF Conference Next Year
Sounds interesting and quite enjoyable
I have a few questions.
How long will the trip be? I would hate to fly all that way just for a conference is there any chance of some expeditions to say some National parks along the way. The way I see it why not make the most of your opportunities while your there see some of the sites get in amongst it and out in the bush.
I have the doe it’s just a matter of do I want to spend it for just a conference!
If it’s just for a conference well I’m 50/50 on going, if however more time is spent (say a few weeks) on being given some tours on some National parks maybe some expeditions or something I’ll be in for sure.
I understand this might not suit everybody, I just think it would be money better spent if we where there a few weeks if not longer. Get to know the locals (bigfoot hunters) and see what their up to.
It would be great to have a whole bunch of us from AYR going
Anyways that’s my thoughts for now

Re: Don Keatings BF Conference Next Year
Hey Chewy - sure glad you changed your name back to normal. Just didn't feel right.
If we go, I would have things lined up for a few extra days in the forest with other groups. There's no shartage of people I know in the States that would be happy to take us out. Would be min of a Week. Paul has done one in Texas, which he said was great, and that is back on later this year and he is going to attend the Yakima (Washinton) conference in two Weeks time in which Bob Gimlin is also attending.
Just have to wait on Don to work out some dates, in the meantime, simply mentioning the posibility in advance. Texas this year sounds interesting and I have a lot of friends there.

Ok…….Thanks Dean it would certainly be an interesting conference and one worth listening to.
I just think that it would be better to be there for a min of 2-3 weeks, for the money spent I would like to get in a much as possible, see the sites, do a few expeditions etc.
