back in the late 70's or early 80's i was on a school camp to an old gold mining town west of townsville called ravenswood , and in this town was a supposed haunted church . one afternoon a group of us were on a guided visit the church led by the local priest and one of the christian brothers from our school . after a brief history lesson we were sitting in the church asking questions when there were a series of bangs on the floor , every one sat up and started wondering what the hell was going on . at this time another teacher entered the church and he and the other two started laughing as they had pulled a swifty one us . however the last laugh was on them moments later when out of nowhere a religious picture leapt off its mounting on the wall and crashed to the ground breaking the glass in its frame . at this the two teachers and the priest went very quiet and went pale colour . no one could explain what happened and to this day i can still recall watching that picture fly off the wall .
