Been a bit quiet from my end: in the middle of completing a whopper of an assignment, and have just started a new job, so have been concentrating on other factors lately. Plus Sticky must have given me his cold over the internet, as that laid me low for a week!
I hope you are doing better now, Mr Sticky, by the way. We miss you!
BUT..... I have been reading a cool little book about Thylacines before I sleep at night, but it only takes ten or so pages, and I'm putting the bookmark in and going to sleep!
Kind regards,
Shazz

Lilfoot, the book is "THYLACINE The Tragic Tale of The Tasmanian Tiger" by David Owen
published in Australia in 2003 by Allen and Unwin
It's pretty good, quite indepth and relates tales and refers to other books, especially Paddle's authoritative work which I don't yet have. The blurb on the dustcover reads
"Is it still out there? Thousand of Australians, including dedicated and serious scientists, claim to keep seeing it still. The world's largest marsupial predator was deliberately hunted to extinction through fear, ignorance and greed. But was it a savage sheep killing or a shy, fussy, nocturnal feeder?
Once reviled, feared and slaughtered by government deeree, the myth of the Tasmanian Tiger continues to grow. So treasured is it now, the Tasmanian Tiger has become the official lgo of the island that wiped it out and a symbol of the conservation movement world wide. A number of Australian species have miraculously reappeared after being labelled as extinct. Perhaps the Tiger is still with us. And if it's not, can it be brought back by cloning?"
I found it on eBay and it only cost me $15.
