Dean, I'm calling BS on that one.
Looks to me like a snake has made a meal of a lizard almost the same circumference as itself, and the poor old snake has literally burst at the seams. That's a lizard's foot and leg coming out of there, or I'll eat my hat without tomato sauce.
Nice find though, it always seems to be weird news coming out of China or some flyspeck of a place where there are a lot of superstitious folks who scream first, question later.
Just my opinion, but I'm pretty darn sure I'm right!
Kind regards,
Shazz

Creatures can re-evolve old features.
Maybe this snake is the first mutation in a series that will bring back snakes with legs? Perhaps as the snakes' environments disappear, it will be better for them to have legs with claws. All the better for climbing around in urban sprawls.
Would you like a side order of fries with your hat Shazz?
On the subject of strange creatures has anybody sean this one yet..?
http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/ne ... -kids.html
The story is: TERRIFIED locals in a South American town are running scared after a strange creature they describe as "Gollum" crawled out of a lake and charged schoolkids.
The beast — which has "sparked fear and confusion" in the small town of Cerro Azul, Panama — was spotted on Saturday when four 14 to 16-year-olds were playing by the waterfront.
According to their account, reported by Panamanian news service Telemetro, the youngsters "screamed" when the five-foot creature emerged from a cave and started clambouring over rocks towards them "as if to attack them".

In a "desperate bid to defend themselves" the four terrified boys said they hurled rocks at the strange creature to kill it, before throwing its corpse in the water and running away.
Their disbelieving parents returned to the lake the following day — and were stunned to discovered the beast's body washed up on the shore.
Experts have yet to examine the images — or make any statements regarding their discovery.

It has extremely long, weird arms, and what looks like a massive claw... it also has a short, rounded face - could it be a sloth of some kind?
If it was near water, my guess is it was drowned, though sloths are reputed to be quite adequate swimmers in still water. Perhaps it literally fell over a small rocky waterfal onto the kids? It looks like things that have been dead in water for some time - hairless and bloated looking. Uck!
