Just found this on the SMH website.

this photo has been round for a month or so, when i first saw it i thought looks like a gorilla for sure, then someone mentioned a bird and i wasnt sold on that at all. but when i kept going back to it, it definately revealed itself more as a bird of the crow type in take off mode, especially when you realise the subject isnt sitting on the ground in the background of the picture but half way between camera and the bushes surrounding the grass and about 2 or 3 feet off the ground, take another look with that thought in mind. cheers

That is one of the better shots out there IMHO. What could it be; a large bird, I am not so sure it could be as the head area is too wide. Garage bag; no way, I will be bet on that. It is either a hoax or the real deal.

I wonder if it is planning a second visit to the garden. I bet there will be more cameras at the ready if the creature makes a second appearance.

I`m leaning towards a crow on this one. On the CNN footage there were a huge number of birds raiding his garden so I`m thinking its captured one out of focus. If it was BF raiding the garden then you think they would have spotted some footprints??? No footprints or other evidence tends to push me towards the crow theory for this one?
