Pilliga yowie says “hello”

Came across this new YouTube clip of a couple of guys out in the middle of the pilliga scrub, I’m guessing that’s where they are, going buy their username. You can here ‘a’ something in the distance calling out, the boys seem quite distressed by it.

Is it another fake or something real?

Its not to far from where I had my personal sighting. I know a lot of creepy S#*% goes on out there.

I will also add that the above you tube video reminds me of a time me and a mate where walking back to his place about 12:00 -1:00 in the morning through thick forest in Victoria's ranges. I will admit we just left the pub but halfway along our journey we heard some voices talking to each other in the middle of the forest, it was pitch black I first wondered what they were doing out here in the middle of the night so I yelled out to make contact and they just continued talking among themselves as if nothing happened and they hadn't heard my call.

You have to understand that victoria gets cold at night especially in the forest. The cold didn't effect us to much because we where considerably pissed. But whatever or whoever was out there that night sure had some balls. We were walking along the road they where out in the middle of leech infected bush. Its of my opinion that that streech of road is haunted now.

Apparently he and his mate heard the sounds on a stretch of road called sawpit road in between Coonabarabran and Narrabri, right in the heart of the pilliga.

I couldn't get much out of him except he swears on what he and his mate heard.

Still not 100% sure what to make of the footage. They seem like a wild bunch of lads judging by their videos but thats not to discount what they claim is not in fact true. Guess what I`m trying to say is you should probably tread pretty carefully with this one. Young blokes with to much time on their hands can lead to all sorts of shananigans.

A lot of people are going to dismiss this because of the 'Hello' component of the footage but I have actually heard recordings made by BF researchers in the U.S. of BF speaking in English (these were supposedly legit researchers). That sounds crazy I know but there has been more than one incidence. I think I heard it on one of the Bigfoot podcasts I`ll try and find it and get a link up but not sure if I`ll have success as I forget which site/or show had it. The one I heard was recorded somewhere in the US as they were entering the forest... all they heard was a sound... but later upon analysis of the recording it sounded lilke it was telling them to go away!!!

If this were to be true than what a can of worms it would open!!! It seems to be more than mimicking... there seems to be an understanding of the language... as in this and the U.S. cases the language used was appropriate to the situation! If it was simply mimicking than there is a good chance that it wouldn`t make sense and there would be just random words!!! At this stage I`m not prescribing to a belief but just merely speculating into an interesting component of the research.

i dont really think that the sound was hello. just sounds like some kinda dog to me but i do believe that they thought it was a yowie .

i mean who hasnt been somewhere that just freaked them out for no reason and suddenly everything sounds like the thing ur dreading

No idea what that is but I have to say sound does strange things through the bush with distance, I would love to know the exact spot and see if their is farm/development nearby.

I know from my experience hearing weird sounds like that, and walking kms through the bush towards it only to find it was coming from farm animals

That said if its in the middle of nowhere it could be very interesting, if its not yet another fake for laughs

I heard back from the guy who made this video he wanted me to post this up for all of you to read.

I just wanted to tell people what happened that day so I thought I would just tell you and get you to post it.

This is what happened. Me and my mate decided to go walking through the bush to find a spot were pigs are and record sign because we are hunters, we walked for two hours through the bush and never heard one thing except for maybe a pig grunting but that was it. We stopped at a dam (sawpit dam) to have a smoke and we were talking for about 5 minutes having a smoke then my mate heard a noise.
I didn’t hear it at first then I heard it about 30 seconds later. And I said put on the camera and he did. We listened and some of the stuff we couldn’t hear on video but we could hear in person. We sat there trying to get it on video then we hear it and then my mate went around to the side of the dam to see if he could see anything and that’s when we heard it and it sounded like hello I don’t no if it said hello but that’s what it sounds like. after that i said do you want to be game with me and go to the spot were we think we heard it and he said ok so we walked to the road there and when we got to the road we listened and we heard the noise again but you cant hear it on the video then at the last noise we hear it and run. the hole video goes for about 8 minutes i cut out bits cause we swear a lot it was freaky I just put the parts on YouTube were we hear the noises . i hunt a lot around that area and I have never heard noises like that before . No one else was with us I can swear on anything on that and this video was not hoaxed. To be honest I wouldn’t even know how to hoax that if I could I would take a lie detector test to prove im telling the truth. I don’t really care if people believe us or not but I would like people to not think it was a hoax. I believe that you believe me but I would even like some one to go check out this spot for themselves to see if they hear anything. I haven’t heard anything at that spot before and ive been living around here for 19 years. If you want you can post what I have written to you on that site, ive been trying but like I said it wont let me sign in.. Anyway mate I won’t keep ranting on I just wanted to tell people what happened that day and what we were doing before we come to that spot

Can anyone give accurate details as to where in the Pilliga area this Sawpit Dam is located. I`ve searched the web but had no joy in finding it.

Did a Google map search and found a Sawpit Road (no Sawpit Dam Rd) on the western side of the Newell Highway in Pilliga East State Forest and on the eastern side of the higway in Jacks Creek State Forest. The road on the eastern side of the highway has what looks like a dam nearby and it might be the dam in question - although it is closer to the Newell Highway.

hey everyone , im one of the guys in this video my mate is the one that does all the talkin im the one that just tries to listen . it was scary and since chewy has already put up what i wanted him to post for me i dont need to explain it all again . but for people wonderin were sawpit road is . its on the wee waa side of the pilliga not the jacks creek side and you can find iit by going on the newell highway the road to take is old mill road then the first turn is sawpit road take that road untill you come to a turn with a sign sayin sawpit creek or sawpit dam i dont really know what the sign says i just know it either says sawpit creek or sawpit dam . anyway go down that road follow it and and you will see a creek dont follow the creek just keep going straight and go throught the creek and just follow the road all the way up and then you will see a dam and it will say sawpit dam . thats were we heard the noises . if anyone wants any more info just ask .

It looks like the trailer for the Australian Blair Witch Project, and was not put together by an amateur. I never heard "hello" in the recording. It was mostly something repeatedly making an irritating whine with some cheap birthday party noise maker. But at the end, it sounded like it ventured into some more complicated tones or even speech, when the perpetraitor began talking. Too bad we did not hear enough to verify authenticity and rule out "humans". The repeated over-reaction of the videographer to simply fascinating noises, is suspicious.

If I were in a similar position, I would have first frozen in my tracks, then gone directly into open mouth breathing mode that the camera mic could not pick up, held the camera perfectly still but directed at the sound, and then let the camera do it's intended job. Then I would have a more complete record of each sound, instead of, a series of truncated records that leaves us all guessing.

mate we are not pro's at filmin nor is it off the blair witch project lol. were two guys from narrabri who just like to hunt and when your two lads who have hunted in the bush for 8 years or more you tend to hear noises but this was different . my mate ( the guy talkin alot ) was shakin the hole time and we werent tryin to get everything perfect like get the camera on were it was. we were crappin our pants and didnt think of anything like that i was glad that i thought of the camera to get the noise on video so people would beleive us thats all we thought of other than that we were tryin our hardest to get everything possible on camera we heard alot more noises you just cant hear them on video ... go out to the spot and check it out yourself i already gave details on the spot so people can check it out . you may not beleive that its anything non human but i know for fact that no one else was there and it wasnt done by some party noise maker . i want people to go see for themselves . i know that most people who see this aint gunna beleive it cause it is good footage of noises that you can hear pretty well . most stuff people have is out of focus or really far away or just one quick noise . this is a heap of noises and some of them aint quick they are long so you can get a good listen in. there was nothiin there we could see at all if we seen something then we might of threw the camera up on it . or if it was up to me if i seen something i would run as fast as i can. i dont crae if people think its fake all i can really say to the non beleivers is go check it out for yourselfs

I was getting goosebumps listening to them panicking . You have claimed that you had bigfoot's...( bigfeet? ) living in your kitchen at one stage. I have long given up on gainsaying your claims, they are yours and you obviously believe it so, I can live with that and nothing people say will change your mind . But anyway, you are apparently familiar with this sort of thing. These two guys out in the scrub obviously arent.

I certainly haven't heard that sort of noise before , but I am certain that if I did hear it in an area renowned for its " weirdness" I would be using a few expletives too lol.

Props to Bigroly for coming on here to tell his side of things. As I said before not claiming this video either way but I dont believe anyone can say how people should or should have behaved in an apparent encounter. Not all of us socialise with the big fella

Mate, I just wanted to say massive thanks for sharing your story. It's one thing to say something happened, but to stand by it and tell total stranger... well that's something else! I really admire you for that.

The thing about this place is that we're all here because we share something. From time to time, something get a bit heated if someone oversteps the mark or says something stupid, but on the whole everyone's really supportive. Some of us have heard them, some of us have seen them - there are members from the Blue Mountains who are so used to them they don't even bat an eyelid anymore. Heck, Dean was bodyslammed by one! Personally, I've never had an encounter, but that doesn't mean for one moment that I don't read everything here with an interest and open mind.

I wrote recently that my uncle has an area of his NT property that he won't go to because he felt the often reported sense of being watched and totally freaking out. I wanted to let you know because he's always out fishing or pig hunting, like you and your mate. Only he's in his 30s with a family, and he's a drinking, smoking miner - tough as nails, but being scared witless by something most people like to think is a myth is not the sort of thing you make up to tell the lads at the pub, unless your keen to be a laughing stock!

Im 50/50 on this Video, thinking back last March when we went out and Steve picked up that recording we know what we heard but, the flack we have coped by putting it on you tube. These guys are no different they know what happened we should not judge them.

If its B/S which i dont think it is we will never know for sure. To me it sounds like it is trying to make a word i dont think its Hello but never the less its a word.....

Back to the Pilliga Yowie's.
Report's of strange happenings at the Truck stop at the Northern end of the Pilliga have been answered.
Strange knocking on vans and vehicles during the night, have been identified as about 15 Emu's that the Tourists have been feeding. They are now pecking on caravan doors and windows of a night hoping for a handout. Even truckies don't stop any more.
German tourists seem to be the most frightened. Don't no why though, imagine hearing a tap on the window and seeing two beady eyes staring back at you.
